A really contrived idea I've just had involves them finding the ship that Rose originally used to escape from wherever in the gem empire she was from (I would say zoo but nothing has been confirmed, there is evidence that's gems like her were positioned at the zoo,but she may have had a different purpose, speculation is fun!)
Now I'm wondering if the rebels had their own ships, although it's more likely they were relying on pure guerrilla warfare so they had no need for them

The Crystal Gems do look at her ship, either to recommission it or use it as a base to build their own. Regardless, something occurs to get the ship flying, but nobody knows what to do. It's then that Centipeedle, of not the crew as a whole, manage some extent of reversion to their Gem forms to pilot the ship to a safe landing.
The idea there is that, since Corruption is described as mental damage, doing something intimately familiar to them, like piloting in this case, brings their minds back to a degree of normalcy.

They'd have to know there was more to life than what they have to get bored of their situation.
They won't even know what boredom is...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yeah, I don't buy that. Even if they don't know about things, they should still get bored of doing the same thing every day, and try to come up with new things to do themselves. Even with the limited environment.
Boredom isn't something you don't feel just because you haven't been taught the word for it.

They knew what splashing was before Gregory arrived...
They just were amazed at the idea of a cannonball...
Which allowed them to make bigger splashes somehow...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The problem with the zoomens is that they can't actually leave their environment without the risk of dying from exposure due to their immune systems, their pristine environment basically means anything that spreads like the common cold could wipe them out ,I raised this issue awhile ago that when Steven and Greg entered the zoo they could have brought their germs into the zoo's environment and contaminated it.
Even if they still had a ship going back to the zoo would pointless and risk immediate capture

Also, if we want to be precise, it's also just as likely that there's a disease that the zoomans have built up immunity to that Greg and Steven are susceptible to. I think it's just as likely that they brought an epidemic back with them.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I highly doubt that writers that can't be arsed to think off a proper Hand Wave for language barriers have much interesting to say about epidemiology. It would just get in the way of good storytelling. Specifically, it would get in the way of the moral conundrum of taking the zoomans out of their golden cage to live freely in the dangerous outside world, which is actually a pretty interesting philosophical question that I don't want ruined by "everyone died because of germs".
Counter-Handwave: the gem system, rather than modify the humans genetially, made do with the fact that their immune system needs germ exposure to function correctly, and they need germs to digest their food. Therefore all the zoomans are exposed to tons of germs and inoculated from a very young age, as it makes them healthier.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.@48214 That actually glosses the problem. The problem arises not because one population developed in a germ-free environment while the other developed in a germ-inhabited environment. It's that the two environments had completely different sets of germs, and the populations gained extra resistance only to those that they developed with.
One example that turned out way more horrific than many people probably realize is chicken pox. I imagine that most of us who had chicken pox at this point probably remember it as a mild-to-moderate annoyance, but that's because most of civilization has grown concurrent with the disease and it's generally something that humanity has adapted to. But not all of humanity - in several instances, chicken pox turned out to be a debilitating plague when populations previously isolated from the disease were introduced to it by European or American explorers/settlers. It generally wasn't lethal, but the effects of it were way worse than what the vast majority of people in the modern day dealt with (and, of course, they have a vaccine against it now, so experience with it will drastically decline in the coming years).
Just to give a simple example, there might be different strains of the common cold that developed for both the zoomans and Earth; the meeting of Greg and Steven with the zoomans might have given a vector for them to share those strains, and now both zoomans and Earth's residents might be facing off against a cold that they have very little resistance to.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.> Steven was able to slightly cure Gem corruption with his saliva. It might heal diseases.
Since the healing spit didn't cure the corruption like it did for other injuries I suspect it was designed to resist Rose's healing abilities, plus the fact that's it can be spread by fusion makes me think they knew Rose's army likely consisted of many fused gems
I think the spit probably can heal diseases and Steven could likely become a billionaire selling his bottled spit

I think they'd have an easier time than Bismuth because it involves tech. Bismuth's experience is more with buildings and weapons.
