That's true, they probably would just accept their punishment. I wonder what it would take for any potential reformation.
Anyway, I do think it's possible that Beach City citizens may be captured and taken to the Human Zoo. It would be a logical next step, I think.
I'm really looking forward to Lion 4. The Lion episodes are always really good. And then, maybe it'll get the folks on Tumblr to stop screaming that the show is going to shit. (It probably won't, but I can hope.)

When we're done, there won't be anything left. What are you considering as Slice of Life episodes?
My opinion on some season 4 episodes:
- "Tiger Philantropist": Again, I actually liked it. On-screen closure of an "arc" and acknowledgement of character development. Also, Lars isn't insufferable.
- "Rocknaldo": Similarly, it isn't the worst Ronaldo episode.
- "The New Crystal Gems": I'm surprised some people dislike it.
- "Adventures in Light Distortion": Interesting, but completely passable. I would be happier had the eponymous light distortion been an one minute gag.
- "Three Gems and a Baby": In hindsight, not too memorable for me.
- "Onion Gang": I don't like Onion. I don't like his friends.
- "Last One Out of Beach City": The first time I watched this episode, Pearl felt OOC to me. After thinking about it, I realized that wasn't the case, we just haven't been shown this side of Pearl too much. It has been talked and even sung about, but I don't think it has stuck with me. I myself am surprised I haven't broken down in tears with some Pearl episodes (read: "Mr. Greg") yet.
- "Future Boy Zoltron": Why? Why make this episode?
- "Kindergarten Kid": I like this episode. It's a nice homage. I want to see what happened to the bubbled corrupted gem in the barn (by which I mean I want to see it on the background of a Peridot/Lapis episode).
The Kindergarten Kid: Not bad, wish Peridot had been poofed and given a new design though.
Future Boy Zoltron: Super forgettable, I didn't even remember it was a thing.
Onion Gang: Saw some highlights from this episode but skipped it as Onion is creepy to me.
Rocknaldo: Every Ronaldo episode is one too many and CNs marketers did not help.
Gem Harvest: Bait title and a very weak episode for a special.
Tiger Philanthropist: Meh episode all around. I probably wouldn't have minded it if it wasn't in the middle of other uninteresting episodes.
Adventures in Light Distortion: Not slice of life, but it felt like a filler episode to pad the Steven Bomb and I wish it had been cut.
Know Your Fusion: I didn't like it personally but a lot of people did so *shrug*
Oissu!I find Mr. Smiley weird, but not good or interesting weird. Creepy weird, maybe. It's probably the smile.
I can understand relating to Mr. Frowney coming out of nowhere and just being sad all the time with an explicit reason. But it's still not the same degree of relatability as I'd have towards a character I know better. Besides, depression isn't an issue that is solved once, it's a battle that's fought everyday. Had we a glimpse of Mr. Frowney in previous episodes, and perhaps if we have in future episodes, my opinion of the episode (and Mr. Smiley) could be different.
Finally, I don't remember this episode telling us anything we didn't already know about Garnet's Future Vision. It was just Mr. Smiley forcing Steven into labour, and then Steven solving the emotional issues of a stranger and a guy we have been given no reason to care about in the past 4 seasons.
I mostly thought it was cute fluff. Adventures in Light Distortion was one of my favorite parts of Out of this World if only for the comedy in it being on fire and the part close to the end with Steven struggling to reach the button and crying for his dad kind of hitting me hard emotionally.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Okay, so what if Steven Universe starting incorporating Lovecraftian elements? You know, like Adventure Time?
Homeworld should have relativistic ballistics and temporal warfare. That's terrifying. I didn't know where else to fit this random comment.
@Phi Sat: "Gem Harvest": I liked the episode. Once more I'm surprised people didn't like it.
"Know Your Fusion": I also liked it. Ties in very well with previous Stevonnie episodes, and keeps the theme of "being unable to help people who refuse your help."
@Adric De Psycho: I mean, most of "Adventures in Light Distortion" wasn't bad, I just think they spent too much time with the eponymous light distortion. And, while very touching, I think Steven got over his issues too fast. It was like "oh, and now we'll see Steven getting over his issues by himself and before the ship crashes into the zoo, or else we'd go from Steven Universe to Steven All Over The Universe."
..Or Gravity Falls?
I think things are plenty weird enough already!
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverGem Harvest is hated by some people mostly because it hit a personal note with viewers (including myself) that resonated very poorly.
I don't really think Steven got over it too quickly, he was worried about saving Greg and failing him, then the ship got fixed and they didn't die, so he realized he could still save his dad.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?![]()
Derp. "Know Your Fusion" wasn't bad, but in the end it went in a totally different direction I was expecting. But maybe I was stupid to not realize what Sardonyx really wanted was for Smoky Quartz to have a "real" weapon after three rounds of combat tests.
North American problems, maybe?
The ship got fixed after Steven got over it.

Now I'm wondering how effective conventional firearms would work against a gem,I suppose their major weakpoint is where their gem is located and enough shots would crack and shatter it,of course, that's if the gem hasn't killed you with the weapon inside their body first
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI like that the slice of life episodes show that the Gem war and Rose's unfinished business isn't Steven's entire life.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's not that there are slice of life episodes that I think is the issue, but rather that the show has poor pacing. Very little of plot relevance will happen for long stretches then suddenly a bunch of things will happen in a Bomb... Only for the characters to go back to Earth and the status quo. There's not really any sense of urgency despite the fact that THE DIAMONDS ARE COMING TO TAKE PEOPLE FROM EARTH. It just seems like no one really cares about such a potential disaster. Including the Diamonds, since they seem content to wait a month before taking new additions to the Zoo despite not knowing exactly when the Cluster is supposed to be hatching.
Oissu!Just imagine the Gems' reaction to an Eldritch Abomination.
Yeah, the pacing issues have been quite bad. The buildup to the Cluster arc was great, but the payoff was...eh, not flat out terrible, but a tiny bit anti-climactic (though admittedly quite inventive). Probably the best buildup in an arc was either the lead up to the first season's finale (and even then they had to remove three filler episodes to improve the pacing) or the Jasper/Smokey Quartz/Ruby arc in Season 3.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

If all Rubles see themselves as disposable as CG Ruby once did, that's not likely...
They'll accept it, no question.
