He could have been facetious. Or, again, in denial.
I think, I don't think he has a poor enough eyesight to actually see Tiger as 2.1336 meters tall, so at worst he's bad at measuring in feet at a distance. And, let's be honest, what kind of person uses imperial units anyways?
@Adric De Psycho: I think I've seen some threads holding off on spoilers for a week, a day, a page, or even three posts. I might not want to be spoiled on the upcoming Season Finale, so I might need to avoid the thread when it comes :S
@Animation: I think I was a little more judgemental on "Room for Rubies" than usual after the discussion here, so I'm not sure I trust my own opinion. Yes, sometimes Steven is really short, but after I learned Koichi was drawn shorter than he actually is (before I started watching Steven Universe) something clicked with me because I realized "yeah, you can do that even if other characters are drawn "consistently/realistically"."
Could Lazuli have stopped the ship...?

But the warp drive thing...
I'll believe the former can happen while they were still hanging on the ship, but not stopping the ship from instantly reaching light speed.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I suppose my stance on what this episode means for Lapis depends entirely on how Lapis continues as a character from here. I get why Lapis feels the way she does and why she acted the way she did. And I think that Lapis was absolutely justified in how she was feeling.
But I'm not sure if the show was/was not condining Lapis's actions, and that's where I draw the line. You can't control how you feel, but you can control how you act. I'd feel more comfortable if the next time something like this comes up Lapis is just as distrusting as before, showing that it's part of her character rather than just her perfect judge of character.

Alternatively, a situation like this could come up and Lapis actively tries not to act that way. Not sure if that's Aesop Amnesia or applying the lesson learned though...
It wouldn't be Amnesia...unless it happens the same way.
But, there would have to be a case where she was wrong...before it becomes Aesop Amnesia.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Odd given how much of the Periphery Demographic grew up the 90's: the crowning decade of series with art that ranged from gorgeous to absolutely hideous (thanks to shopping around with animators) no matter how great the writing was.
I mean, BTAS could be downright ugly sometimes.
I did notice, though, that this is one of the few times the models have drastically changed within the course of a single episode. Peridot goes through a few distinct designs over the span of 11 minutes.

I honestly don't mind the weirdness with the character heights and style, I guess. I mean, sometimes, like with Lapis's hair this episode, because that was kinda weird, I do notice, but I don't particularly care, and the art annoys me way less than the people on Tumblr griping about it and yelling about how this means the show is totally going to shit.
When we're done, there won't be anything left.Wasn't that already posted? That seems very familiar, art and everything.

Eh, it's pretty furstrating at times. Steven and Peridot have been shrinking so much lately that I'm expecting them to be smaller than a 5 year old soon enough.
