I always imagined White Diamond to be like a morally apathetic yet highly pragmatic business executive. I don't recall if gems actually have a system of currency, but work with me here. Anyway, if you can imagine gem society as being a bigger version of the East India Company, then WD would be a top brass colonizer who cares little about the many beings she indirectly kills, but will cancel a project if she deems it slightly unprofitable, or if it simply consumes more resources than it acquires.
There is no real reason why I would think of this, but I just thought it was cool.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.My own White Diamond, as a way of explaining why she hasn't appeared yet, is that where Blue wants to hoard reminders of Pink Diamond and Yellow wants to destroy them, White wants nothing to do with them and is content to keep the heck away.
Basically she's in denial to the other two's Anger and Depression
Except in the moments where he's being introspective or confrontational, Steven's role in character-heavy episodes have gotten less interesting. I think that's partly because he's matured so much it doesn't feel like his everyday encounters are something he's still learning from.
And the season-wide plot has been badly paced. The first half had no clear narratives hooks in terms of current events. Homeworld continuing its Alien Abductions is a very interesting idea, but they seem to be backloading it pretty heavily. By comparison, when the previous three seasons were six episodes from the end:
- Peridot had already discovered the Crystal Gems were on Earth.
- We knew the Cluster was endangering the whole planet.
- Jasper was back and on the prowl.

Fluff works yeah.
I enjoy a lot of Season 4 episodes. The entirety of the bomb. Mindful Education. The New Crystal Gems. The Storm in the Room. Last One out of Beach City. Still feel the overall pacing should be much better. Though I suppose if they follow through on the "kidnap Earthlings for the Zoo" thread all the Beach City Citizen episodes will be more important to this season's arc.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.By the end of the series she should be able to lift a metric ton...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It looks to me like the limb enhancers she started out with were given to her too early, like the enhancers 'enhance' her abilities ,but because her metal bending abilities were never properly developed she became dependent on the artificial limbs instead using the two together

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverSeason 2 didn't really have much of a big finale either, but I think that partially had to do with the fact that they restructured the show into being five seasons instead of three way way back. Maybe the pacing is off not just because of the fluff, but because we're looking at it as Seasons 4 and 5 when it's actually one whole season that we're only now reaching the midpoint of.

Earliest I remember is him punching the dash in the Return but you could probably make an argument for how hard he threw the fridge in the first episode

X4 Pretty much how I'm thinking it. Just as with Voltron, I really don't like it when networks/distribution companies split up seasons from where they're intended. They affect the perceived pacing of the series.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Mini-fridges aren't light. And Steven is not a big child.
Its less dramatic than punching a dash so hard that the airbag deploys or picking up a teenager one-handed but it may have also been an early sign of his super strength
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI just don't think it'll be as big as Season 3's. I mean, Season 3 ended with a friggin' four part finale that concluded an already going on arc with Jasper and Amethyst, not to mention revealed some heavy shit about Rose Quartz and the entirety of the rebellion. This one will probably be some kind of big cliffhanger of the Diamonds showing up.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?CN didn't tag it but I'm pretty sure this is this week's Sketch Saturday
. And I love it.
