Gems interacting with secondary human characters?
Amazing!
It just won't happen.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. You people are unpleasable. You hate Ronaldo, so he gets an entire episode dedicated solely to him realizing he's wrong, making an effort to make up for what he's done, apologizing when that goes awry, then dedicating his future free time to spreading good PR about the Crystal Gems, and you jerks complain about facets of Ronaldo's personality that he literally JUST developed out of!
No, you know what? I'm actually angry right here! At no point in the episode is Ronaldo being an asshole solely to be an asshole. He's genuinely making an effort to join the Crystal Gems throughout the episode, and while he is a little obnoxious and rude, that can be chalked up to not knowing a thing about what exactly Gems are, combined with sleep deprivation. He even apologizes for the way he was acting at the end of the episode and shows sympathy towards Steven's issues! Seriously, lay off the guy! In the first few minutes of the episode he has an existential crisis and does a full 180 as a character, and you're still not satisfied?!
Randomness isn't unpleaseable...
Randomness likes all characters...

Rather...apathetic at the very most...
If only because Kevin is a name jerks seem to have.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Kevin is just a name people associate with jerks, apparently.
Seriously, I think I saw someone named "Kevin" before SU was in Ed, Edd n Eddy, who was, surprise surprise, a jerk.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Oh, we're just talking about in fiction. You can't accurately judge people by their names in real life, and shouldn't try--especially since most people don't pick theirs.

I not that we hate him, is that our good will for ronaldo have come to a very low point, the same happen to Lars who a this point both are reaching scrappy status, in the case of Lars for being a jerkass who nobody seen to like and "the new lars" which I consider the worst episode so far really dosent help, with ronaldo is that aside for being a conspiracy theory in a way that WASNT play on laught but in a rather disturbing nature, the next is just to be bumbling idiot and...that it.
In fact while this episode give him devolpment, it didnt feel he learn something(or that much) since he was already cool with the gems, which make the whole thing hollow.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"![]()
Lars too, yeah.
No where near as common though.
The development isn't for how he treats the gems, just his general behavior.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I actually like Kevin.
I mean not as a person since he is terrible but as chararter is hilarious how opently jerkish he is, in a series about grey chararter, misunderstood or hurt, he is like "fuck you people, im a asshole :D" he have something of a trollish charm I like.

The worst is pretty harsh...maybe, middling, edging onto negative.
I can't take the name Kevin seriously sometimes because this is the first thing I think about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHwq9YHtUes
Kevin is the only character in the show who exists solely to be an ass. Marty has more to him, at least halfhearted attempts for parental guidance and good old fashioned greed are something, but Kevin's role in the series begins and ends with "that one asshole that everyone runs into once or twice and can't stand". He has no other reason to be there. He is pretty styling and entertaining for such a blatant one off villain.
I don't hate Ronaldo, he's a funny dude, but I keep asking myself: Why give Ronaldo another episode where he isn't doing anything that makes him likable and exists solely to put him in a bad light to build him up from? Why this, when every boarder in the Crewniverse 100% has the power to do so much more with the character, with all the townie characters, in fun and engaging ways outside of lore and character development? Why this, when SU as a show is so much better at delivering thought provoking and nuanced messages in ever creative and interesting ways?
This as an episode is thoroughly below what SU as a show can do, even for a lighthearted townie episode, and even saying that I know that there were still a ton of great little moments in the episode, which is why it baffles me that the main plot that we spent the most time with was so thoroughly not good.
Also @Pm C: Ronaldo's still a conspiracy theorist, KBCW still exists. Ronaldo just backtracked on the whole "demonizing the Gems" thing, which mind you wasn't the first time this has happened. Nevermind that all of this distracts from what makes Ronaldo work as a character, and that his worst moments come when he as a character is played completely straight.

It's more accurate to say that none of his traits meet your "likeability standards"...
