She's not exactly the same...Amethyst now doesn't see Steven as Rosey.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Douchebag Otaku tries to appropriate Steven's culture. Steven tells him to fuck off, still winds up accepting him because Steven is Space Rock Jesus.
My various fanfics. My issue with "worst pearl" showing again is that we already saw that in the whole show so it dosent said much anymore and in fact it just stuck more things against her that in her favor since for a moment thought of taking Steven gem which again, was really creepy and somewhat unecesary.
and with amathyst cometing mistake...sure, but it dosent really seen progress to anything in particular seen it never line up with her issues, also she last against Greg of all people, someone who also lost Rose(and you could said is worst because she leave Steven behind with only him to raise) and it seen she is blaming HIM for that....yeah no, that was the lowest point to me.
And by the way, I dont dislike amathyst, I really like who she face Jasper and smokey quartz(even when Jasper was kinda right on something, fusion seen the only really way to beat her) but that episode pretty much sore me so I pretend it didnt exist.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"If you wanted to see Pearl at her worst, then it was entirely necessary...
Visually displeased at the event...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Honestly Worst Pearl was when she let Steven apparently fall to his death and just glared at him.
My various fanfics.Ronaldo realizes that all his conspiracy theories were wrong and everything is caused by the Gems. He apologizes and tries to fix things by joining the Crystal Gems to help out. He doesn't quite understand how that works, however, and he tries to actually become a Gem, including not sleeping. After about a week of living at the house and not sleeping, Ronaldo is so tired that he's barely making sense, and he throws around a bunch of No True Scotsman fallacies at Steven. Steven feels bad for all of a couple seconds before he realizes that that's bullshit, runs back in and confronts Ronaldo, who faints from lack of sleep. Afterwards, Ronaldo apologizes for acting like a jerk, and promises to spend his time telling others that Crystal Gems are good people.
Seriously, this episode isn't 'cringey' in any way, shape, or form, and you guys are just looking for excuses to hate Ronaldo for no reason. This episode was great.
Be creative in your dislike...
You'll be justified every time...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. If you meant the time from Rose's Scabbard, she may have glared at him when he was jumping (after she asked him repeatedly to leave her alone) but she was horrified when he fell short.
Which based on music cues may have been an early manifestation of Steven's super jump powers.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's just unnecessarily cruel. Ronaldo got some fantastic character development in this episode, and you guys just seem stuck in this mind-set of wanting him to be a Static Character so he can be your own personal Hate Sink.
No, maybe they just want him to die...and then dislike when the episode does make him die because of how cruel it is.
Getting beat up is fine...any character getting beat up is fine.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The hatred towards Ronaldo - and Andy - makes me consider the pitfalls of discussing social issues using fantastic elements. It doesn't matter how much Homeworld is used to symbolize racism, homophobia, ableism, or colonialism - people don't see it as that. They might understand it is used to symbolize it, but they don't treat Blue Diamond's hatred of cross-gem fusion (i.e, homophobia) with the same weight they few Andy or Ronaldo. And Jasper is much less willing to budge her views than either of those two humans, and is more violent with it.
Now, I get it. Andy and Ronaldo are much more real. The lack of fantastic elements makes their bigotry much more raw.
And as such, while using fantastic elements can be helpful, it will only get you so far.
Edit: You see something similar with how Homeworld literally treating humans as animals is seen as cute or even benevolent (rather than the zoo being just that; a zoo) by fans, or the fans romanticization of the Pearl slave system.

There's just not much to this episode. I didn't even hate Ronaldo before but this episode made me hate Ronaldo. There's just nothing to this episode beyond Ronaldo acting like an ass, and that just isn't fun, or interesting, and we have so little reason to believe that Ronaldo's development will really stick anymore than the 8 Lars/Sadie episodes have.
He just seems to get a disproportionate amount of focus for a one off gag character and lore dump, especially in comparison to the other, less awful Beach City citizens.
Ronaldo isn't even the worst human on the show, but unlike Lars and Kevin and Marty, Ronaldo is just uncomfortable to watch. He has such a lack of social grace or decency that every scene with him is just bracing yourself for someone else to snap on him for doing something stupid. When he's just being a weird oblivious nerd he's funny, but he spent more time in this episode being an asshole.
And there's probably a moral somewhere in there, but I just couldn't sit through it.

But people do that with all characters they dislike immensely...
It's only natural.
Lars didn't get any type of development in any of the episodes he was focused on besides the last one...and it looks like it's sticking.

It was mostly there for audience benefit...history repetition.
