Bismuth respects Steven in a really unique way that I think was really useful to him before that well was poisoned.

Of course there was a reason Bismuth was so keen to divorce Rose and Steven.

I do wonder what the catalyst for the season finale will be. Aside from the Diamonds coming for humans and possibly finding that the Cluster is no longer active.

Also as a general thing, Steven's development over the course of the show, and particularly capped off in this season has been staggering. The sheer amount of change this kid has had is incredible, tons and tons of cartoons don't apply a tenth of the change Steven's undergone. So many fear to alter their characters too much over fears of losing what makes them likable. Seasons 3 and 4 have really put him through hellfire and melded his most strong traits compassion, empathy, willingness to brave unpleasantries to save the people he loves, and still has some time to goof off and find a little fun.

I've been thinking about Lauren Zuke some and I think I kind of miss the old Peridot Twitter account they ran. It was pretty entertaining.

I'm guessing they aren't running the account anymore because of the whole Twitter debacle, right?

Steven has gone through a ton of character development, but I think Connie has actually had more. Maybe she's had fewer onscreen moments where she's grown, but she has much more self confidence now than when we first met her.

He'll probably age up, but randomness doesn't see why it should be plot relevant.

It'll most likely happen off screen every other time like in Adventure Time...since he already had a birthday episode.

Maybe a little, to accomodate Zach Callison's real life voice changes.

I figured it would happen on-screen seeing as being able to age at will is a defined power of his, but it could happen offscreen too.

Besides height, the difference between a 14 and a 15 year old is minimal enough to bypass.

Remember back when the most scarring thing in this show was Steven turning into a bunch of cats?

[up][up]You mean, almost the entire run of the show? That shit is still unreasonably horrifying.

Just for how extremely utterly out of their depth and helpless both Greg and Steven were. I don't think it can be topped because both of them have come to learn how dangerous gem stuff is, but cat fingers was when they were first shocked to learn they weren't in a cute children's cartoon, and it almost cost them their life and their son.

Yeah, the characters all having the ability to bury their feelings means that on the surface this show comes across as very light and fluffy despite its details.

It actually stopped updating weeks earlier, right after "Earthlings", but that's made a return much less likely.

Ah, alright then. Still kind of sad about it.

Zuke has been kind of quiet after the entire debacle's gone on. They haven't even reblogged anything from the episodes they've boarded.

What debacle are you referring to? I'm relatively new enough that I've never heard of it.

Typical fandom shipping wars. Zuke boarded some episodes that teased Amedot and then teased Lapidot and some people got ticked off, then Zuke quit Twitter because of it.

It got really weird and really bad. As in "make a fake blog that's allegedly Zuke's" bad.

That is a very broad category - I'd need the field to be narrowed considerably before I could give an answer.

Seriously, though, why do you always ask these questions?

Honestly, I don't know.

Probably how demons are usually portrayed?
