A few fans noticed, and it's a little hard to tell with that one frame of animation, but it did help the early Garnet's a fusion WMG take off. Man, imagine how crazy that would've been!

Yeah... you can see the outline of Ruby and Sapphire for maybe a half-dozen frames at most when Alexandrite defuses in "Fusion Cuisine". I... may have tried pausing that episode at just the right time a few dozen times to finally see it.
Meanwhile, I'll just be the guy who thinks "Fusion Cuisine" was just okay. It felt like a slight Retcon in order to justify a Zany Scheme being used, and Steven was a bit annoying in that episode, but it had some hilarious Pearl and Garnet moments, and I think it works extremely well to set up elements that came into play in "Nightmare Hospital". Maybe it helps that I watched things out of order and thus watched it after "Super Watermelon Island" (which is a way more awesome introduction to Alexandrite), but as far as such things go, it was okay.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Lauren Zuke and Hilary Florido story boarded and wrote both Too Far and Beta.
So it's not like one writer set up Amedot and Zuke came along and knocked it down for their preferred ship
Per Zuke's post, this was the intended arc the whole time
The shippers don't have to prefer where the show is going but getting angry seems like it's going
Too far
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe only ship I ship is Jaspidot, and that's only jokingly. I don't really do shipping.
I'm aware of that. But of course Amedot shippers are going to be mad, that almost confirms their ship isn't endgame. And That's Terrible. (I've also seen some people claim that Amedot being "sunk" in favor of Lapidot basically uses Amethyst as a stepping stone for Peridot's development and implies that fat, neuroatypical woc lesbians are inherently unloveable.... it's been interesting, is what I'm saying. Shippers be cray.)

When we're done, there won't be anything left.Fusion cusine wasnt that bad at first but the actual dinner is just "what?", in fact I also skipped that part until they unfused which the episode return to be funny(as garnet said "the base of good humor is fear") and the permise is weird(I mean, all connie have to said is that greg is a widow and that it)
Now with this episode...is good that it show part of connie and lapis without being around steven but I feel the episode was too short, it should have more stuff before they argue.
Also is intersting because I made the sugestion in this thread that Peridot is like Pearl and Lapis is like amathyst, I guess I was right
There's nothing actually gross about the dinner scene...
Especially nothing worse than the earlier scene of Amethyst picking her nose.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I was just saying I found Fusion Cuisine to cross over into Gross-Out Show and when someone said they didn't understand what was gross I elaborated. Why are you taking this so personally? It's fine to have different opinions than other people do.
Oissu!Things were quite graphic early on, visually unappealing.

Actually if you look super closely when Alexandrite defuses you can see them.
Oh really when?
