To an extent, yes. Given what little we know of this Friday's episode.
Is it just a thing that "calm before the storm" episodes are usually kind of eh? Gravity Falls did one last monster-of-the-week episode before the giant finale, and it's usually considered to be one of the worst episodes of the show.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well yeah, you had the zoo and blued diamond,it makes sense to space out episodes so there's come comedy between the intense drama, still,I'm just wondering if the next episode will be a major drama bomb,it could be the mother of drama bombs with super major stuff being revealed
Edit:I think poor quality of light hearted episodes is down to some kind of directive "You just gotta have a funny this week!Save the drama for next week or people will get bored!" So at times I think it's forced, and as everyone knows, you can't force funny.

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverIn retrospect, it's almost conspicuous how much "snatch up humans for a human zoo" sounds like a real theory as compared to word salads like "thaw out the cryogenically frozen pets of the one percent".
If there had been evidence of any Homeworld gems who didn't think that Humans are Insects, it would have even been plausible.
I wonder how late into production that line was added—I'm guessing storyboard revisions, because Ronaldo is speaking on-screen when he says that. The concepts for Holly Agate were from July 2015 (the month after "Rising Tide, Crashing Skies" aired)
, so I'm guessing it was a real idea but not a fully developed one.
I'll also point out that some "Hit the Diamond" concept drawings
were made March 2015 (four months earlier), despite "Gem Hunt" being 33 episodes (about 11 months of development) later. This further suggests the Zoo was an idea they came up with a very long time ago, but held back to develop and build up to.
Hey, anyone want to catch up on all of the past Steven Universe episodes in the ever-present practice of reruns in celebration of finally getting a schedule again?
Well too bad, CN is showing absolutely none this week!
◊ That single new one on Friday is literally the only episode in this lineup.
That red show lacks an appearance...looks like it might get on next week.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. We've had multiple hours-long marathons just in the last month.
And reruns are a terrible way to catch up on a show with a Myth Arc.

Yeah. Honestly, even the cast of EVA were in the process of recovery, and then the plot decided to crush them. So basically it all depends on what the story decides to throw at them.
Still, it could be an interesting exercise to do a Fusion Fic. Gendo and Greg are almost perfect foils of each other. So are Steven and Shinji. Connie and Asuka. Rose and Yui. Then it gets a bit more square peg round hole: Pearl and Ritsuko? Pearl and Fuyustuki? Amethyst and Misato? Garnet and Kaji? Lilith and Pink Diamond? Jasper and Asuka? Kensuke Aida and Peridot? Lapis and Rei? What about Pearl and Rei?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I'm at a weird place where I saw the leaked clip of the first hundred seconds, where nothing really happens, but not the leaked screenshots. Now I want to talk about the clip, but can't even in the spoiler thread.
This is like one of those times where you're behind on a series, are temporarily unable to catch up further, but can't discuss it in the meantime either.
What's not a spoiler is that I was right that "Storm in the Room" is a Howard and Liu-boarded episode.
I just watched The New Crystal Gems
- So is Lapidot happening now? Like it's not a bad ship I'm just a little salty the Amedot moment before the great hiatus of early 2016 was never acknowledged or even dismissed, it was just... ignored
- The animation seems a little off-model and the cyan Lapis skin hurts my eyes
- That was an awesome use of powers
- dammit
- oh fucks sake
- this is another cringe comedy ep
- Peridot has become really obnoxious
- THANK YOU CONNIE
- yeah this was a nice episode, kinda forgettable but not Fusion Cuisine level "I can't watch"

Some drama just happened...it won't happen just immediately yet so soon.
