I thought she looked more like Midna
, really.
A consideration about the Amethysts and co. Are they all that are left of the quartz that were produced on Earth? They seem to have been stationed there, and are according to Blue, all that is left of Pink's legacy. So... is this it? There were thousands in both Kindergartens. Are all the rest shattered, corrupted, or fused by force?
I also wonder if that Ocean Jasper is from Earth, or is simply a warrior class quartz from another planet.

Still, it's a pretty decent theory: I'd assumed working at the Zoo was part of Rose's Homeworld job, but that it would just be part of a wider role as some kind of biologist/ecologist. However, them all working exclusively at the Zoo would explain why seemingly all the Rose Quartzes but the Rebel Leader were off Earth for the whole war—if more were on Earth, you'd expect some of them to have joined the Crystal Gems.
Whatever it is, I think now is a good time to put theories/analysis for this specific topic on overdrive, because there's a good chance we're getting these exact questions answered on the 17th.
On a completely different note, I just realized something weird about the Cluster's telepathic voice: It's several voices layered over each other to represent the discordant minds of the shards. One of the voice is provided by Zach Callison. Think about that for a minute.

It's only a Late-Arrival Spoiler when even the official sources stop trying to hide it. That's arguably the case with things like Lapis returning to Earth or Peridot becoming a Crystal Gem (her having a Twitter account wouldn't make sense otherwise) but the Diamonds haven't been featured in any of the advertising or such—they don't appear enough.

Sitting down to watch the Bomb in one big sitting. Hoping my heart can take it. Already pretty heavy with "Steven's Dream".
My various fanfics. Is that why he was so aggressive during the beginning?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.About the "Sneople", could they be the creators of the Gems? Much like the Quintessons were for the Transformers?
Oh funny thing I can share now with the Bomb officially over, Ronaldo was wrong on the second and third points, but he was partially correct again.
Ronaldo: Wait, so the hand wasn’t here to snatch up humans for a human zoo, or interfere with our subsidized Beach City wind farm, or thaw out the cryogenically frozen pets of the one percent?!
Adding to the "healing is a rare power for a gem" evidence, look back at "Ocean Gem". Lapis basically treated it as impossible to get her cracked gem fixed, and she was quite visibly and audibly surprised when Steven revealed that he could. It's not the strongest clue (because she also may have just written off assistance from other gems at that point in the show), but it does suggest that it's at the very least a rather uncommon power.
That said, while healing as a power might be extremely rare, healing technology might be within Homeworld's capabilities. I think that's more likely - the door opening was so that Holly Blue could send in a quartz to retrieve the human, put them through the healing machine, and send them back in.
For how many Earth quartzes are left... well, that room had a lot of bubbled Rose Quartzes; that might have been the bulk of the contingent. Also, the barracks where the Famethyst was shown wasn't that large; there may have been other barracks with other earth quartzes that weren't shown. They may not want all of the quartzes in the same room to make it easier for Holly Blue (and maybe other Agates, if they're there) to keep them in line.
For whatever the Diamonds did to the gems on Earth... well, to some extent, I think they just wouldn't care (particularly YD) what it did as long as it took out the Crystal Gems. As for willingly sacrificing their own troops... I mean, Yellow Diamond was all for just letting Earth blow up even though it was (so far as she knew) ripe for harvesting. Destroying resources just to spite her opposition is kinda how YD rolls - We Have Reserves fits in way too comfortably into her style.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Out-of-universe, we do have to keep in mind this is a show with a standard CN budget, even if at times that's easy to forget with some of the gorgeous animation setpieces.
We can only have so many Gems at one time to show their power.
I like that the Crewniverse has been basically giving the middle finger to the eleven-minute format and increasingly making elaborate multi-part episodes that tend to end and begin exactly where they leave off.
