When they were describing Blue Diamond's zoo, was anyone else thinking of The Collector and his...collection
◊ from Guardians of the Galaxy?
So forgive me for nitpicking, but while the episode was funny, it felt like a bit of a weak follow up the last episode. It's episodes like these that make me grateful for the bomb format. Imagine if one week an episode aired showing Blue Diamond kidnapping Greg, and the next week's episode was mostly based around on extended gag. People would probably be pissed.
I'm assuming this is just a breather before the shit starts hitting the fan, but still.

That doesn't make any sense...if it's near Saturn, they'd have past it instantly.

You can't possibly be anymore vague.
One of the Youtube thumbnails I saw was of Blue Diamond talking to Greg. My first thought was how creepy she looked. My second thought was "Wow, what the fuck, GREG talks to her??" When I saw her this episode, I wondered if she had been on Earth mourning this whole time. Then I saw her ship and thought "Oh yeah, that makes way more sense".
Glad to see they're giving the Diamonds different personalities as I had hoped.
Her mourning is overriding the personality seen from "The Answer"...
I'll bet. A lot of stuff happened...arm.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So weird question, but does Blue Diamond remind anyone else of a Dark Souls NPC? Just that whispy voice giving vague exposition gave me flashbacks to that series.
It's been thousands of years since everything...but she's randomly decided to mourn?

Wouldn't surprise me if the Crystal Gems weren't the only ones who were left with psychological scars after the war.
Steven asking questions is, I mean I'm glad he's doing it, but he's never really shown much interest before. He never asked the Gems anything about the kindergarden, the war, the diamonds, but now he's upset that they don't tell him stuff. Which he has a right to be, but it's a new state for him. Although he did ask why no one mentioned Pink Diamond to him last time we saw the Rubies. I guess that's WHEN he had his change of heart, but I'm not sure WHY he had a change of heart.
Someone, I forget who, said that they should probably do something about the Rubies, and I sincerely hope they follow up on this because leaving them to float in space for eternity just feels cruel.

We already know they weren't the only ones...
Jaspee and "Eyeball" Ruby were already indicators...

Also, I would've thought "You'd meet Blue Diamond, but she's going to kidnap Greg" would be reason enough for Steven to stay away, at least long enough for BD to leave. But I guess being vague was the only way the plot would've happened, so...
While Steven not asking questions when he really should have has always been a bit of a writing convenience, in-universe you could perhaps take it as a sign that he's growing up, and learning to accept that he can't avoid unpleasant subjects.
Perhaps it's the fact that Rose having skeletons in her closet was a big shock to him when Greg and the Gems have never said anything negative about her.

2 in a row? This is less a bomb week, and just 3 day special.
