They might pull a Redemption Equals Death
But who really knows?
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverthatd be dumb and unfitting of the show
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrIt would be a first for the show admittedly, and so manu other tv shows/films have pulled it that it's a cliche at this point
So I'm kinda expecting it to show up at some point, because it nearly always does
But it probably won't

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverWe were on the theme of the similarities between Jasper and Vegeta...
I sort of gave up halfway because there doesn't seem to be a Super Gem prophecy or anything like that. The closest thing Jasper would say is that she's a perfect Quartz, I guess...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. With Sapphires being able to see the future the absence of a gem prophecy does surprise me ,but that might come later,or at all since that kind of usually appears at the beginning with ambiguous Arc Words slowly being understood over series before the prophecy comes true during a sort season final.

future vision is a thing but it isnt immutable as long as people can make choices

moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrOddly in "The Answer" Garnet said that Sapphire had seen in advance every moment of her life and that she had never been wrong before. This is at odds with every other time future vision has been demonstrated, where it's always, "I can see a bunch of possibilities but I'm not 100% sure which one we're actually headed for."
I took that to mean that Sapphires are fatalists and are stuck on a single path to the future. When you combine her with a Ruby who goes screw destiny you get Garnet who can choose between futures.
Makes sense based on what we see in Keystone Motel where Sapphire saw an outcome and passively waited for it to happen.
Our Sapphire isn't usually that passive anymore though. Because of Ruby.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSapphire saw a single future partially because of her (and Homeworld's) fatalism, but also because Gem culture and behaviour was highly organised, with almost everyone following a strict role and acting as expected. Gems also aren't big on personal growth, and are "born ready" with specific abilities.
Fighters fought. Thinkers thought. Diamonds ruled. If anyone stood against that, they were defeated and punished accordingly. And so, the most likely future, the one Sapphire had seen, had always been the one actually happening.
Until Ruby accidentally proved that future vision can be contradicted by... people doing something unexpected. After Ruby tried to save Sapphire, and they ended up fusing into Garnet, she could no longer see the inevitable. Instead, she began to see possibilities.

I'm now wondering how many Sapphires there actually are ,I think there's bound to be one for each Diamond,so three? Two if Blue Diamond never replaced the one that left her,it's not likely that a Sapphire is cheap to produce either

I'm still calling it that Jasper is gonna be redeemed.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
