Rose is probably treated as a Boogyman back on Homeworld, with every bit of misfortune being placed on her, hell they probably found a way to justify using the corruption wave on their own on troops and the rebels by blaming her.

I was asking about this on it's Discussion page, but I figured I'd say it here too: can FanFicRecs/StevenUniverse be moved to FanficRecs/StevenUniverse? It's literally the only Fanfic Rec page where "fic" is capitalized.

[up]You can't move a page to its current position.

Oh. Ooohhhh. Uh, well, is there someway to uncapitalize the F in fic? It's just weird that this one's capitalized while the rest of them aren't.

where is it capitalized? If it's in an index then you can just change the wikiwords, right? Or is it something else?

EDIT: Okay, I think I see it. Even when you go to FanficRecs.Steven Universe, the title on the page still says "Fan Fic Recs / Steven Universe" instead of "Fanfic Recs / Steven Universe"

Yeah, that's it. I'm just really curious why this one's like that when the rest of them aren't.

Immediate guess would be it was originally made as FanFicRecs and the system doesn't know any better even when someone uses "fanfic" instead. Not sure how to fix that thought. First idea was a custom wiki word but they wouldn't affect the namespace.

Rose as a "Boogyman" is interesting and possible. However, Rose may be their John Wilkes Booth, she's just the b____ that murdered/shattered Pink Diamond. The Diamonds wanted to corrupt the Crystal Gems. According to Centipeetle, the Homeworld gems were ordered to retreat and leave before the wave. It was war, the corruption wave was the easiest way for them win and have the least amount of causalities on their side, which is all the justification they needed. Bonus, it was also a way to show how powerful they are and get revenge. The Diamonds probably have a way to reverse to gem corruption.

I hope we get a Rose centric movie leading up to her shattering Pink Diamond. It can be a tell Steven about it movie. I really want to know more about Rose and the Diamond Authority. It would be interesting if we learned Rose Quartz' role dealt with life sciences.

The Diamonds consider their footsoldier expendable, but they know they're not free. Withholding the Cure would only make sense if the cure cost more than replacing the corrupted gems.

[up]We've been discussing this in the spoiler thread for the last day. I'd argue the description isn't much of a spoiler (especially since the "Out of This World" promos already show the next five episodes involve a change of setting), but then there's not much to discuss about it either then.

Maybe Homeworld believes the missing gems were shattered during the war. Even if they believe some of their gems were corrupted, what if only 5% or 10% of the corrupted gems are from Homeworld? I don't see Yellow Diamond wasting time and resources to save those gems. It's quite possible they wouldn't know if they were Homeworld gems until after they cure them. Accidentally, curing Crystal Gems opens another can of worms. The war was over so the newly cured Crystal Gems had no value as prisoners. Bubbling them means they can be freed and cause problems in the future. Shattering them is the most logical solution but it comes with it's own set of problems.

Maybe they don't have a cure it's not like it's the first time a devastating weapon has been used to win with no plan in place to help the victims.

I am hoping for a combination of both; the Diamonds had a cure her name was Pink Diamond, but Steven will develop the power as well.

Gems are differentiated by the physical structure of their gemstone ("facet" and "cut"), which corruption doesn't change.

They didn't know Lapis was a Homeworld Gem when they found her. It's not like you can tell if a Gem is loyal or not just by looking at them. And I 'm not sure, but I think the Facet/Cut is where they were manufactured and not their physical appearance.

I think the Facet/Cut is where they were manufactured and not their physical appearance.
Checking around the transcript, Facet does seem to be locationevidence .

They didn't know Lapis was a Homeworld Gem when they found her.
Hmm... well, there were other ways Lapis should have been able to prove her identity, so that might have just been incompetence/paranoia on the part of her interrogators.

Jeez, if they really have no way to identify gems of a single kind except by looking at minor differences in physical form (which can change) and asking them for their serial code, shouldn't there be massive impersonations, especially during the war?

It's not a spoiler from the bomb, but the answer to the location and cut is both yes. It's both what you look like and where you came out.

Wow, a lot happened during this supposed hiatus, huh? Either way, glad to be back and caught up on posts.

Thankfully, I've been able to resist watching the leaked episodes, at least for now. Just gotta hold out for a few more days.

The Diamonds consider their footsoldier expendable, but they know they're not free. Withholding the Cure would only make sense if the cure cost more than replacing the corrupted gems.

If they're the solitary cause of corruption in the first place, they wouldn't need to let anyone know they have the cure in the first place. Those lost soldiers were written off the moment they decided to use the weapon.

It's like the Empire. Willing to off large amounts of their own expendable people/resources to strike a horrible but decisive blow against their enemies.

Okay, so from the schedule so far, the show has episodes from the 30th to the 2nd, takes a week long break, then comes back on the 16th. Did I get that right?

[up][up][up] Thank you for clearing that up.

By the way, does anyone else think an electro-swing song would fit well with the show's soundtrack? I haven't looked that much into the background songs already in the show, so maybe they already have. I bring this up mainly because I've been listening to Caravan Palace's latest album and their song Russian reminded me of SU with its music and singing style.
