It's like the same as drawing Zuko's scar on the wrong eye. Was that a common occurrence?

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.

This show's been moving really fast when you take into consideration all the hiatuses and jumps in production schedules, we've gotten 80 episodes in two years, which is quite a good amount of content, being 40 half-hour episodes so roughly three-quarters of a standard cartoon season both years.

When the Steven bomb does (officially) drop, will it be all at once or spaced out?

It's a normal bomb that starts on the 30th.

Oh really when?

I don't know how a bomb normally is, though. I only caught up to the series around three episodes into season 4, so this is the first I've been here for.

Generally, a bomb is five new episodes in a week, Monday through Friday. [nja]

A bomb is normally an episode a day for a week. I think this one might have two on monday and none on friday though.

If you're in the US, the first episode of the bomb can be viewed legally on the Cartoon Network website. But the rest I believe you have to wait for. But we've certainly made it through hiatuses before tongue

Speaking of Peridot, I'm embarrassed it took so long to remember the trope for the way that she speaks.

There's a lot of trope entries referring to Homeworld as having a Fantastic Caste System, but I'm beginning to think Hive Caste System is the more accurate trope: even though they're all humanoid and equally sapient, different kinds of gems have pretty tremendous variations in size, shape, and physical ability (and they're not even induced during gestation like in Brave New World, they're actually inherent from design because the whole species is artificial).

Ok, I was taking this in the leaked thread but since it dosent have anything to do with the episodes, I will said here.

Is just me, or the episode of mr money with Amathyst in greg garage feel off?

I mean, so far almost all episodes of amathyst have been consistent: she feel inadeaque with the gems, have some self hated issue and so far feel left out.

But that episode go in a diferent route: is about her friendship with Greg, the fact she miss Rose and how to deal with the fact she is gone, is also the only episode that deal with the "ugly" side of Amathyst: like how she react badly to criticism and the fact she can harm other in attempt to protect herself, kinda like Lapis actually.

And yet, this never is follow again, the rest of the series focus again in her self steam issues and the fact she take Rose form to hurt Greg is never talked again....which, sorry to said this, it was a serious dick move on her part.

so, any thoughts on this?

To paraphrase Jello Apocalypse:

"Remember when Amethyst shapeshifted into Steven's dead mom to taunt his emotionally broken father... and then made up for it by cleaning his garage? Sure, that makes up for that!"

They're connected. As noted, Amethyst doing that to Greg is due to her self-esteem issues making her lash out, as she feels inadequate compared to Rose. Greg is empathetic enough to understand this, and while this event is never brought up again, the issues that caused it are.

[up]Sure, but that seen waaaay to sympathic to Amathyst, Greg suffer to and what she did is pretty much triggerd the heck of him, I mean I get she is suffering....but that was unaceptable for me, and is how weird that is never borught on again.

I really don't trust Jello Apocalypse with good judgements after his Adventure Time video. For every good point he made, he made one that was pure nonsense.

Given the variations we see elsewhere, I wonder if other Peridots aren't quite as small as the one we know. Or if so, if other ones don't compensate for it in the way she does.

Amusingly, that would make her even more comparable to Zim than she already is.

I've imagined Era 1 peridots being taller (like ours with limb enhancers).

In fact I had the thought recently of our Peridot showing off her metal powers to an Era 1 and looking like a little kid showing her mom the new trick she could do.

Pearl: This reminds me of all those times Steven would show off a new picture he drew or song be made up.
Steve: Hey! That's... (Watches for a moment) Okay that's fair.

I'll admit,it did bother me that Amethyst's impersonation has not been brought up again, probably because only Steven,Greg and Amethyst' know she did it

Of course,in the future they may come across a gem who can read minds/memories and uses it to undermine her,cue outraged Perl
