That'd be interesting, but I'm not sure if we're quite ready for that yet.
I'm actually kind of interested in seeing another Gem colony.
Oh God! Natural light! As normal with this show, my expectations are now at max, but with how fast this show can go from cute slice of life to HOLY FUCK DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?, it's hard to say.
My hopes are the zoo is in space, or could be another Gem-controlled planet.
I mean the teaser says Steven's universe gets a little bigger, which sounds like stuff in space.
And they still have the Ruby ship.
Which implies that Homeworld has it, or at least someone does. And of course, the final episode of this bomb apparently has them fleeing from something.

Oh God! Natural light!Flame P. and L. Lazuli are the similar characters in introduction...but completely different everywhere else.
F.P. was a fire elemental and locked up in a Fire place.
L.L. was a water elemental and locked up in a Water place.
May not have been intentional, or maybe it was because Rebecca S.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I've noted that a few times, they've got a similar delicate but strong mindset with a powerful elemental ability, arise from a prison, and are at first alien to the protagonist's views and don't understand their element is hurting the world around them.
Last time I checked though, Lapis isn't romantically interested in Steven.
She's not romantically interested in Steven...but she did get out of a relationship on negative terms which now defines her recent characterization.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Adventures in Light Distortion is the one I'm most interested in at the moment, since it'll probably have something to do with the fact that the gems' bodies are made of light.
Besides that, earlier today I was thinking about gem color and how it affects what court they're in, and initially thought "Well, it probably isn't that big a deal, since Blue Diamond's court had a lot of non-blue gems." Then I realized that the non-blue gems were pink, so they were probably originally from Pink Diamond's court before she got shattered.
Or it could just be a stylistic choice.
(i was trying to think about what court each of my gem OCs would be placed in, but i suppose it's a bit futile to think about it until we know significantly more about each of the diamonds)

they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller listI think it's a very safe bet to say at least that Pink was still around during the Answer flashback, the Gems seemed pretty chill and spoke of settling the colony without too much worry.
Back then it was just Rose and Pearl.
"Earth was Pink Diamond's colony. Everything was going smoothly at first. Kindergartens were incubating their first soldiers. Big, warm pieces of Quartz — (looks at Amethyst) like this mountain over here — were being created from its rich minerals with great success. Then — bam! One of Pink Diamond's very own Quartz soldiers started a rebellion and took it too far."
"I was there. I saw it with my own eye. I watched the leader of the Crystal Gems — Rose Quartz — shatter Pink Diamond!"
Interestingly it's the first time the Crystal Gems have been acknowledged as a group by a Homeworld Gem since Lapis all the way back in "Mirror Gem".
So yeah, the rebellion had to have been pretty under way by then, Garnet and Pearl were there, maybe Bismuth?
I don't think color scheme corresponds to Diamonds too strongly. Who would the Bismuths (gray and rainbow) work for if they did?

Now that's a crossover I really want to see expanded
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenLet's be honest, Homeworld would likely be scared shitless of Frieza since he can blow up planets with his bare hands.
Would Rose Quartz be able to see the beauty in Frieza? I also imagine Steven thinking there might be some good in him and that he might have emotional problems like Jasper.

Well holy butts if that isn't exciting. Those episode descriptions... Are we actually going to be seeing/visiting (some corner of) modern Homeworld? Oh man.
