Quite frankly, I don't see what there would be to argue about. It was a long time ago, Pearl was scared, confused and didn't really understand the implications or the consequences of what she was doing. A lot has changed since then, and I think this episode did a good job of reflecting that.
Oh God! Natural light! It's always nice to see Sugar loving her show. When you see her talk about it, you realize she's a bigger fan than we will ever be.
And yeah, echoing that. Pearl's been finely received, at least over here. The thing about Tumblr is you'll find negativity anywhere about any subject, it doesn't necessarily reflect the general opinion. Throw a dart somewhere, and take your pick.

granted, for a few moments she was creepy.
And for the lack of reaction, I guess is a case of "too little, to late" we already saw the gem Been confuse by humanity, we already saw pearl Being mess up and so on, the only thing new is it show Garnet side of thing and made her moré expresive, something the show really need with her

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I've been thinking more about the Nativity references (my old Sunday School teacher would be so proud to see me utilizing my knowledge to analyze TV shows
) More specifically, about the Feast of Epiphany that takes place right after Christmas.
One theme of Epiphany is that of wonder. To just marvel at the fact that God, this extremely powerful being, is now nothing more than a human infant. A human infant with great potential, but still just a human infant. (It's so much of a Mind Screw that there are entire Christmas services dedicated to just thinking about it)
Another theme of Epiphany is light. Advent (before Christmas) is a time of darkness. According to Christian belief, the world was in darkness for thousands of years waiting for the Messiah to come save them. During Christmas, the light begins, radiating from baby Christ, but can only be seen by Mary, Joseph, and the Shepards (those within the immediate vicinity) But on Epiphany the light spread, covering every corner of the world so everyone knows that the Messiah is here. Steven hasn't gotten that far yet, but give him time...
Messianic Archetype, anyone?
I'm a bit late with this, but:
Unfortunately (because I adore both), there is one key reason why SU LEGO would be a very very bad idea: minifigs. LEGO minifigs are all of a uniform shape and nearly uniform size, which is part of their charm. They are uniform block people living in a block world where everything can fit with everything else.
But SU makes a point of giving its characters different sizes and shapes, both as a design element and as part of a body positivity message. You can't take spindly Pearl, pudgy Steven, and Amazonian Garnet and flatten them all into the same trapezoidal shape without losing something vital.
So...no thank you. No Steven Universe LEGOs for me.

Hmm...I should probably find a holiday avatar for myself. The upside-down flag can return when it's needed...
Edit: There! What do you think?

Oh God! Natural light! The Gems are also confused simply because they can't really grasp what a human death is, especially for a Gem and a Gem such as Rose to no longer exist. There's shattering, corruption, and bubbling, but her Gem is perfectly intact and right there, Steven's existence runs contrary to every established rule about how Gems function and even what a Gem can be.
Imagine how weird things could get if it turns out that Rose could possess Steven at any time she wanted, and all Steven needs to do is shapeshift into her for it to take place
I'm getting Batman Beyond vibes now.
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI wonder if Rose had ever heard of the immortal jellyfish
.
I just have to wonder, how did Rose know that she would become half of Steven? A gem having a kid had literally never happened before. How did she even have the vaguest idea what would happen? How did she even know for sure that they couldn't exist at the same time? There was no precedent for anything like this. Where did she get that information from?

I know she's talking about this thread, I just kinda figured she was prompted to ask from people off site ranting about Pearl.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
