Or you know, maybe it was because Sugilite was forcibly defused by an injury.

Guys, help. Where's the rebecca sugar self-correction quote on the gems being sexless not genderless? I have to prove someone wrong on the internet.

Nowhere, as far as I know.

Technically it's everywhere, cuz you can find the fandom talking about it all over the internet. But as to where we got it from, I have no idea.

She has a tumblr and twitter account, at least I think the ones I saw were her accounts. You could check one of those out.

I've followed both since before the 2014 AMA where Sugar made the response Smart Girl is claiming she corrected. I would have remembered such a statement, and the inevitably discussion it would cause in this thread.

do home world gems how to bubble?
I'd say most of them can't, given that would be a much more secure containment method than the jail cells. It been implied several times that bubbling a gem requires empathy toward them, which isn't something Homeworld is likely to teach.

[up]Smart Girl should be the one looking for proof, not you. The claim sounds ridiculous whatever exactly it is.

[up][up] If it requires empathy, it gives Peridot being able to do it a whole lot more meaning, I think.

Incidentally, by the power of Hulu and Youtube, I'm now fully caught up with all the main SU eps, give or take one or two I might've overlooked accidentally.

Peridot recognized them and asked if she were about to be harvested, so I think the Crystal Gems just repurposed a more scientific power to something more defensive.

What is your least favorite episode, and why?

For me: it's The New Lars. Seeing Lars' social life and personality violated, completely hijacked, and ruined was painfully uncomfortable to watch, and Steven is just a horrible and manipulative person throughout the episode.

Oh dear god FUSION CUISINE. I've never actually watched more than a minute or so of the main Cringe Comedy part because it's too painful to watch, I always end up skipping to just before Alexandrite unfuses

Probably Sworn To The Sword. I just can't enjoy any part of it. Bismuth is only slightly above it, as there's a few bits here and there I can kind of smile at.

"Steven's Lion": Introducing Lion was important, but doesn't itself give much of a conflict to base an episode around.

It's pretty much an entire episode of Pearl being absolutely horrible to a preteen girl, until Connie thinks her life has no meaning. It's seriously one of the most disturbing episodes of SU, and Pearl is just disgustingly abusive in it. Pearl is one of my favorite characters, so it's awful for me to watch it.

And I'm not fond of the song.

Can't we all agree that Keep Beach City Weird is worst episode?

Honestly, I'm a little confused by that one. I'd say that the majority would consider both Sworn To The Sword and Bismuth in their top 10 favorite episodes in the series. I know I do.
