The ship was given to the Jasper gem, not the Peridot...if the Peridot was going by itself it would've had something smaller like the 5 Rubles' ship.

Yeah, that hand ship. Was that sent because they knew about the Crystal Gems? Peridot met them over the comm, that one time, but for some reason I get the impression that Yellow Diamond still doesn't know there are Crystal Gems left on Earth. Maybe she does but doesn't care?

Yellow Diamond doesn't see them as a threat anymore,Rose is long gone and all that matters is the cluster

Eyeball said on Homeworld there were rumors that the Crystal Gems were still around, so either it's a persistant rumor over the years, or some info's started to leak out.

Where's that comic about connie's parents being confused by a casual mention of fusion, connie's mom thinks it's a sex thing due to poor explanation, but connie's dad has watched dragon ball z, and when they actually see stevonnie they're like "our grandkids are going to be beautiful ;u;"

So question, why did the gems not know about the cluster.?

Because Homeworld planted it without their knowledge?

A better question is how could they've known it exists in the first place? The war was already on by the time it was incubating.

Dump a horrific fused abomination of body parts and fallen soldiers to tear apart the planet in a few thousand years, then Mind Rape the surviving Gems on either side just to be sure. That's some brutally efficient tactics just so that the enemy can never win.

Why would she know that...?

[up] No reason she would, really. I think it's just she's shown a tendency to play her cards close to the chest which gives the impression she knows a lot more than she may have.

A follow up to did Rose know: if she did, did she have a plan in place or did simply accept the destruction of earth unavoidable (which would explain why she didn't inform anyone) and simply try to live while she could.

Why would she know that...?
There were loads of stupid theories about Rose doing some crazy experiments because Garnet mentioned her after discovering the cluster experiments—even though what she said was "Rose couldn't have known."

Saying the leader couldn't have known just ends up prompting that kind of speculation...but it'd only make sense for an obviously corrupt leader and those shady things match the characterization.

Yeah people were talking about how totally made them with her healing tears despite the fact that Garnet said how they were made(buried underground until the heal and pressure fused them).

Unless Steven's spit can glue stuff to other stuff, I don't see how Rose's tears can force-fuse separate Gems. She couldn't even help shards from the same Gem. I don't like these "Rose is secretly evil" theories not just because they're way out of character, but because they ruin the central theme of the Rebellion: you can do the right thing for the right reasons, and still have everything turn out catastrophically wrong.

The evil Rose theories are even more pointless now. Rose did shady stuff for a noble cause. Do we really need the cause itself to be a big fat lie?

Personally, my thoughts on "did rose know" was never that Rose was secretly evil, just that she could've known about the Cluster and opted to stay quiet, perhaps especially if she knew no way to prevent it, so her Crystal Gems wouldn't worry or be fatalistic about the end.

I don't think Rose "let's fight the intergalactic empire with a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits" Quartz would give up so easily.

Plus, if she knows about the Cluster, she also knows there's a computer right there that has an estimated timeline. So, unless Rose is willing to wait for the steamroller for six thousand or so years, she should have at least started a solution.

They'd waste away their lives on a meaningless effort...

Knowing the Cluster exist isn't enough.

They'd need to know where it is, the equipment to get there, and know that Rosey could communicate telepathically to the thing to begin with...because nothing they'd do would work.

Until the leader Quartz exhibits this ability, it will continue to be a Steven thing only in the mind of Randomness.

Or they could get the humans involved and build a larger drill. The only reason that didn't work was because the C Gs didn't have time to make it big enough.
