Snape isn't Jewish, no. But "ugly big-nosed, greasy witch
" has its root in an anti-semitic stereotype. That's what I was trying to say.
"There are some cases where an oft-repeated criticism doesn't necessarily stand up to scrutiny and a writer is correct in sticking to their guns and ignoring it, but just as often this can lead to ignoring a valid criticism that will let them improve their work. "
This is already a trouble with regular works, when you add race, sexuality and other social issues, it become even worst.
I mean, in theory you cna shurg complain of your chararter being overpower, plothole and other, you can listen to it but at the same time you can used said they are haters, unpleasable fandom or the like, but when you try the same with Social issues them you would be thoughtless at best and bigot at worst and this happen because we consider that people should at least conider those complain and not throw them out of hand.
It also make simple issues waaaaay more complicated, on her own Jasper is a Meh villian a best, she have some complexity with her feeling about Lapis and her self hatred but not a chararter that would be miss by long shot, once you have her gender and body type it become waaaay thorny issue here, so is dificult to separare what they do with her as chararter and what they do as beefy female chararter
Also, just a think: is surprising that many go for Jasper and Bismuth but dosent go for Rose quartz, who so far have hide secret on Pearl, poof Bismuth without saying a word and hide from everyone and aparenly SHATTER a Diamond which is just not kill her but put her in fate worst than death.also the implication that she is somewhat manipulative a times.
Dont get me wrong, im not saying we should ignore Bismuth and Japsper, but Rose is a big woman was well and yet her action seen to be framed more as "Just a chararter" than representative of big white woman(if you code her as much), and im wandering why
So well, just my two cent about it
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Okay, here's something new: Which Character Alignment do you think the Diamonds fall under?
Shattered Gems is either death or a fate worse than death...
Because some gem shards actually don't reform as single limbs.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. How do you think the Diamonds would react to a Chaotic Evil society of villains? Probably some hellish wasteland of a dimension where it's filled with demons always killing/pillaging/screwing over each other due to the total lack of laws and authority. Not to mention the top dogs, rather than working together and being equal in power like the Diamonds, are each trying to seize the title of God of Evil for themselves.

"There's a bit of a difference with Rose's body type and Jasper's. "
Maybe but is intersting that Rose is a unique body type in the series and yet, she dosent seen to suffer the embasy efect(you know, one chararter representing a entire race, gender, etc) so far her merit are based on her as chararter alone, even when so far Steve have to deal with her decision and mess ups.
"I think they're all LE by definition. They're autocrats. "
Yeah, they are textbook example of LF: mantain a imperialisti genocidal sociaty, are petty and even her kick the dog moment since born of anger of being challange rather that a desire to destroy

it look that being shard dosent kill you totally since your part still feel something, trying to be once again, granted is ether that or Diamonds big FUCK YOU to the CG
By trying to destroy them, LG are not like devils in Pathfinder, they think they are a perfect sociaty, is not their fault some lesser being are just there in those perfectly good planets
So far homeworld remind me of mix between Eldar and Vulcans

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"What if Mystery Girl learns about Rose Quartz, and wonders if she's just a Replacement Love Interest for Pearl?
If she gets more characterization, I'd be fine with them tackling that plotline. I hope though, that it'd end with Pearl and S working things out and Pearl treating her like her own person.
At the same time, aside from what her attention being caught by pink hair, Pearl didn't seem to think of her as a Replacement Goldfish.

'No, they actually are all evil*. They're literally made of the stuff**.'
- Technically, there are a few demons that have redeemed themselves, but they usually cease to be demons and ascend to being celestials of some sort.
- Even if you have a redeemed demon that is squeaky clean Lawful-Goody two-shoes they still count as evil a lot of effects.
... I play a lot of Pathfinder (Not D&D, but close enough)... Hey, did you know there's an archetype for the Swashbuckler that's really fitting for Pearl?

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenWell no, it's an Inspired Blade. Specializes in the rapier (let's ignore the fact she mainly uses a spear, though a normal swashbuckler could use it just fine) and uses Intelligence (as opposed to only Charisma); they're more of the 3 Musketeer swordsmen. They specifically use science and geometry to perfect their swordplay.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI realize that a common complaint leveled at players who have neglected to write a backstory is that their character did not pop out of the ground fully armed and ready to fight.
Heh.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenTo be fair. Pearl wasn't born armed or combat capable either.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.So far, this have been the roles of Gems:
Diamonds: supreme overlord of homework, we dont know much about what part they guard
Quartz: Now this is the thing for what I get, Jasper,Rose and Amathys should have the same rank? so far they look between general or capitan, is really hard to said
Saphire: here is weird, she look like noblewoman but she also look like oracle
Lapiz:....I dont know, water scout?
Centi: I forget what type of gem she is, but clear is a air fleet cast
Pearl: it look like servant castle, between butler and house slave, this can explain many of Pearl flaw kicking out: dependency, need to follow a leader, hell if you see yellow and Blue pearl seen to mold their owner personalities: own look agresive and the other is meek and mute
Peridot: tech-girls of the homework, using tecnology
Bismuth: buldier, for me this is important thing about bismuth, she is not only code black but working class black...but whatever, let move on
Rubies: I will said they a grunt of homeworl, like security guards, strong but not very bright
Did I let something else?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"You covered it all, mang.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I never quite liked character alignments, and the Diamonds show why. I understand it's all in good fun, but still; on the surface, the Diamonds are Lawful Evil. But look at the Gem locations of Blue and Yellow; they're driven by the heart, like Bismuth and Amethyst. Just an evil heart. Logic and order is what Yellow claims she is all about, but she is driven by anger, grudges, and revenge.

That's how you see things, as an adult. But a child, who the show is aimed towards, won't be able to understand all the nuances and subtle bits to it. They'll see that Jasper is big and mean and predatory, and associate those traits with big, gruff women.
If you have a character on a kid's show who is a greedy character who walks around with a star of david on their back and curly hair, kids are going to link those things. They're not going to pay attention to the fact that he needs that money to pay for his business or his home unless you flat out say that and make him sympathetic. Otherwise, it's just antisemitic.
