Forever liveblogging the AvengersA year and a half, I'd say, if not a little longer. Pearl says Rose's moss would show up every spring back in "Lars and the Cool Kids", and "Mirror Gem" had the beginning of Summer. "We got a fall episode with "Horror Club", a Winter ep with well, "Winter Forecast", a new year's ep with "Maximum Capacity", Connie says it was almost a year since she'd met Steven in "Nightmare Hospital." "Sadie's Song" has the next Beachapalooza after the last one in "Steven and the Stevens", Steven turns 14 though we haven't seen his actual previous one in "So Many Birthdays", and in "Same Old World" Steven tells Lapis that it was almost the beginning of Autumn when the leaves are starting to change color.
I might've missed a few.
If it was just starting to be Fall in "Same Old World"...and it's now starting to Fall again in "Onion Gang"...it has already been anotha year since then.
It means the MC's b-day is on the summer days.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Same Old World was still set in summer, it's just that they found a leaf that was starting to change. It was still probably August or thereabouts. Onion Friend may have been meant to air closer to Buddy's Book, but was pushed back.
Onion Friend was probably meant to air between Buddy's Book and Mindful Education.

Well...4 episodes that are set on the same day, another episode set a day later, however many days until "Watermelon Island" and "Gem Drill"...then "Same Old World" is on the same day.
I'd believe it still be summer...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.We just discussed the passage of time like a week ago.
The conclusion we came to was that the first two seasons went just as darkabomination said, and then the episodes suddenly started going through the calendar much more slowly for the third season. Season four begins in the same year that season one ended on.
So it's basically:
- Season 1a: ~January Year 1 -> June Year 1
- Season 1b: June Year 1 -> ~March Year 2
- Season 2: ~March Year 2 -> August Year 2
- Season 3: ~August Year 2
- Season 4: ~September Year 2
At different points, the show's progress through the calendar has varied from Real Time (or faster!) to Webcomic Time.

I miss Greg Weisman. With his shows you'd usually get a pretty good sense of the passage of time, Spectacular Spider-man especially. He'd never put out a fall episode immediately after one that's supposed to be set mid-winter.
"Monster Buddies" was on, and while it did set up the whole centipeedle taming/healing arc, it also introduced the Shooting Star, which feels like a huge Chekhov's Gun that has yet to be fired, especially after "Winter Forecast" suggested that it was super dangerous.

I feel like it's too soon for that question...2 years later.
So far...the gem shards that makes objects animate hasn't came back yet.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Wouldn't "Winter Forecast" indicate that they already used the Shooting Star?
Oh God! Natural light!![]()
hardly is WD, so far the implication is that Diamond cant be poof or anything around it, which it make sense since it prevent Steven and the rest to cop up a victory by streght like other show(Avatar for example) that it can be related to it is another thing enterely
Now, another question how many type of gem we have seen? so far I have count 17, 19 if you used the one reference by Bismuth in her episode
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"There were four kinds of gems referenced but not seen in "Bismuth." Three were fallen Crystal Gems: Snowflake (Obsidian), Crazy Lace (Agate), and either Biggs (Jasper) or Bix(bite), AKA Red Beryl. The fourth was a Homeworld Gem, Nephrite (one of two gems commonly referred to as jade, the other being jadeite).

Steven Universe has a very slow burn at first: the overarching plot for the rest of the series doesn't even start until halfway through Season 1. However, the show is very good at foreshadowing future events in small background details, as well as building on previous set-ups and character development. The overall consensus, regarding the plot-heavy episodes, is that they start strong, and just escalate in terms of quality. I can't even think of a big plot episode that is inarguably worse than the last one.
