so that they dont notice im setting a rollercoaster on fire
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrWe'll be on hiatus through at least the end of September.
The biggest problem with "Onion Gang" was Steven's dialogue. A lot of it seemed redundant and had some really weird delivery from Callison.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So I was a bit behind and I'm catching up with what I missed.
Future Boy Zoltron:
...wow. I liked this a lot more than I expected. Mr. Frowny is one of my favorite side characters now. If I'm not mistaken Mr Smiley was confirmed as being gay by Word of God so that adds an interesting possible layer to their relationship.
Onion is an interesting character just because of how we've learned about him, without him actually changing.
At first he was creepy and silent, and seemed like a very real threat.
Then he turned out to just be a bit off, but ultimately not harmful.
And now we see that he's got friends, and he's not all that creepy. He's just different. He's probably one of my favorite human characters.
I never thought he was evil or anything, just slightly unsettling, but it seemed to be mostly Played for Laughs even when we didn't know much about him. I didn't think he ever meant that much harm by the weird stuff he did.
Pretty much, Onion move between intersting and diferent to...sighly sociopathy, it work in part because is one of the few chararter that dosent change that much, sticking in particular tropes that devolpt personality, and that is okay
He'd have to know it's bad...he just does it anyway, as shown in "Future Boy zoltron"

x6 someone should cut that
If there's a consensus here, you more or less have the right of way if you're really nervous about it. If someone tries to edit war over it you can just refer them to the discussion, or the mods to them if it gets of hand.
Well... officially the consensus is supposed to be on the discussion page, so bring it up there too and then wait a bit.
Still, don't be too nervous about cutting poor examples out of YMMV. More of us should fix-up those pages more often.

In all seriousness, Onion's characterization varies a lot between a Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold and amoral criminal motivated purely by boredom. For chrissake, he shot cars at people—not just gems, he threw one at Greg, even though he'd done nothing at all to Onion.
And the closest thing to any kind of pattern is who's writing the episode. The Lamar Abrams-written episodes after "Onion Trade" (including "Onion Friend" and "Onion Gang") significantly tone down Onion's misdeeds and are pretty much the only ones where he shows sympathetic qualities. In basically every other episode he's appeared in, Onion has remained a comically amoral Enfant Terrible.

Why would you want to make people think you need to pee when you really don't?
