Fourth isn't really a theory, it's an opinion. One that you're free to disagree with, of course, but it doesn't really have a place on a list of theories.
The thing about the first place one is that we now know that Gems can fuse together with other Gems of the same type to make a bigger version of themselves. That said, I don't think there was any real reason to believe that was the case at the time, and even if there was, throwing in "reverse fusion" - whatever the hell that means - just over complicates things.
Oh God! Natural light!four isnt a theory numbnuts
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrSo, I'm looking at the posts from when "The Return"/"Jailbreak" first aired.
I had forgotten that was the same week as 'Not What He Seems'.
Oh God! Natural light!Well, they're fairly Friendly Fandoms, and both were huge Wham Episodes that confirmed popular fan theories.
Not to mention, I'm pretty sure that Alex Hirsch and Rebecca Sugar knew each other.
I think a lot of people back then were blown away by both.

Oh God! Natural light!I remember very clearly that they aired the same week because my dash went completely crazy. The Gravity Falls people were freaking out about the Stan Twin theory, the Steven Universe people were freaking out about the Garnet being a fusion theory, most people were freaking out about both... It was crazy.
When we're done, there won't be anything left. What about "Cry for help" was bittersweet?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well, maybe "bittersweet" isn't the right word - although seeing Sardonyx for the first time might be the "sweet" part.
"Tragic and upsetting" might be more accurate.
Oh God! Natural light! That's what I've always admired about this shop's writing style. It always blends sour with sweet and bitter with spicy.
Rose was at her sexiest when she was openly mocking Greg and calling humans an amusement. Pearl's most beautiful songs are tinted tragic. In the same scene that shows us that Jasper came out flexing like a boss is meant to sucked punch Amy's self-confidence. I'm always high-fiving one character and hugging another. I love them all!
You could have just edited your first post since you were the last one to post and did so very recently.
Everything you just said is true tho.
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrSo I thought we were on hiatus and missed season 4. That happened. But I caught up pretty quick.
You know, the recent arcs made me think. Right now one of the most well adjusted and happy characters on the show could accurately be described as "Evil Empire's Pre-Me Gaian Abortion". I feel like that is somehow beautiful and amazing. It's like I've been watching a train wreck, only I didn't realize that it's crashed into a whale until recently.
What...like, at the same time? How would that even work? It would have to be a one-armed hug (so the other hand would be free for the high-five), and that might feel insincere or at least hesitant to the character being hugged, which would defeat the purpose of the hug.
Oh, and welcome aboard.
High five one, hug/kiss other

You know, I was hoping that someone would see #4 as a parody of Female Ruby deniers. XD

Lauren Zuke posted some concept sketches of Mystery Girl on her Tumblr
, and apparently her name could be Sheena.
It could be that name...but it only fits the gener-bent version of a crazy character....from Jimmy Neutron

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. What is the shipping name... I wished Pearl's ships were named after colors, but then the show gave us Diamond's Pearls.
Is it messed up that I have named characters based on possible shipping names? Pepperony (Pepper Potts and Tony Stark) is just so fantastic that I've always wanted one so pure and perfect.

"So Prosperpina, what was your favorite batshit theory you saw while binging the thread?"
Sixth Place goes to the Green Ranger: "I don't think "Diamonds" are really diamonds. I think they are titles. Blue Diamond was a Topaz! Who agrees?"
Fifth Place: "So, how do we really know Rose Quartz is a quartz Gem? Do we have any real proof? She's got a sword and shield, a bitchin' cannon, an entire armory and was the general of a successful rebellion.... And her name is Rose Quartz... but she's got fluffy arms and a cute face, so I really can't buy her being a soldier. You don't know."
Fourth Place: "I'm sorry, I just can't see it... I don't mean to be offensive at all. It is just my opinion and I mean nothing buy it and I don't want to start an argument. But I just don't see Ronaldo as "funny". He just doesn't register as that to me. I'm sorry. I can acknowledge that's what the writers were aiming for, but no." (Screw you guys. Ronaldo is my bae.)
Third Place: "So... Marty and Vidalia were married for a while, but I guess she divorced him when he saw what a womanizing jerk he is?" (I'm sorry, that there is someone in the world that thinks that they had to have married to have a child is so precious.)
Runner Up: Hey, it's speculation that Sour Cream and Onion are brothers. You don't know that. We don't know.
And the Number 1 most Batshit Steven Universe Theory/Discourse goes to the most inconsistently contrarian theory I've ever heard, that tried to make it's sound smarter than both sides of the argument while simultaneously dumbing down the conversation:
"Of course Garnet is not a fusion! She's a semi-permanent reverse fusion! All Garnets are made up of multiple Garnets. She is made up of two smaller Garnets who, because of some tragic back story, were accidentally fused together. BUT THAT'S DIFFERENT THAN FUSION! You don't know. We don't know yet. I don't like the "Garnet is a Fusion" theory and this is a perfectly viable alternate theory. When Alex defused and we CLEARLY saw the outlines of four Gems, yes, that was two small Gems walking around as one big Gem, but it's NOT the functional magic being patiently explained to us. It's "reverse fusion". YOU. DON'T. KNOW.
