All they have to do is call Greg and tell him to report the car stolen. The cops will find it abandoned, tank empty, in an out-of-the-way area and assume it was a simple joyriding incident, with little motive to pursue further. A couple rounds of paperwork later and Greg has his car back with law enforcement none the wiser.
There's probably a convenient warp pad nearby.
Now, if only it worked for Greg...
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Pearl and S will have a happy, fulfilling relationship.
Then, S will meet Greg...
When was the last time we saw Greg in his regular outfit? I want to say Mr. Greg.
Now that he can access the float spell, he can jump with them...
He can probably jump the farthest too.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She turned into a car before...a kid sized car, she's no Jake, but it still worked.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Perhaps it's just him being Out of Focus, but maybe Greg's afraid of finding someone new too, and we just never get to see it, because Steven doesn't see that side of him that often.
Or maybe the beginning of this episode was implying he's dating Sadie's Mom, and he just hasn't told Steven about it yet.

Going back to the topic of Pearl's interest in S., I don't think it's inherently problematic because infatuation is intrinsically arbitrary—do you think Steven should have said "Your feeling are wrong/creepy"? It's only a cause for concern if Pearl pretend she's more like Rose than she really is.
It'd be a problem if she looked exactly the same...but she doesn't.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. No it wouldn't, either way. You're attracted to what you're attracted to. As Other Dude said that's only a problem if she's seeing Rose's personality in S, where there isn't.
It might not even develop into a relationship. It might just be what breaks the ice, and lets Pearl be open to being in a relationship with someone. And that's fine.

Good episode. Pearl was cool in it. S. seems... nice? Not much to read on her character. Also, Pokemon is still the reigning champion of the 'fastest fans' contest: there are handmade plushies, created mere minutes after a trailer reveals the inspiration. PLUSHIES. The Pokemon fanbase honestly scares me with how fast they work.

Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem is a good one. Definitely not the pilot, as it'll work on half of people and push the other ones away for sure.
