At first I was kind of annoyed by all the leaked episodes, but since the actual Cartoon Network for Canada isn't broadcasting the new episode this week, and didn't last week, either I've had to rely on them. I mean I could wait a whole week, but then I wouldn't be able to come here. Is the Onion episode the last one for a while?
I'm pretty sure Ruby and Sapphire kissed as far back as "Prison Break." It wasn't really on the lips though, it was more Ruby kissing Sapphire in the middle of her face.
In this clip from Prison Break, Saphire kisses Ruby more-or-less on the eyeball at 3:50. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR5L5F7ebD4
I honestly can't explain why, but I felt just a bit...uncomfortable from this episode.
Then again, I remember feeling similar during "Alone Together", "Keystone Motel", and "Island Adventure", so I don't know. Maybe I'm just jealous 'cause I'm single.

I think I know what you mean, kinda. Don't have a high tolerance for PDA or Sickeningly Sweethearts so some of the mushier Ruby/Sapphire bits felt more twee than cute, but this one handled it pretty well. Punk Girl felt like there was more to her than just being a convenient Rose substitute, and Pearl's courting was as adorably awkward as I expected. She didn't drop character and go into generic lovestruck teen mode or any other annoying romantic cliches like that.

This episode was a masterpiece in so many ways.
I clearly don't need to point out the brilliance of the whole situation or REPRESSED NERD spefically, but I will point out this Call-Back since I see no one else mentioning it:

It needed more fire, not less...how will the princess build her new kingdom?
Though building a fire kingdom on a place called Ocean Town seems kind of...counter productive.

Besides the try-hard part...none of that was really uncomfortable.
Hm... Did Rose ever actually break up with Pearl to be exclusively with Greg, or did she just kinda date both of them until she died?
I mean, given that she ended up sacrificing her physical form to have a child with him, I'm inclined to think it was an exclusive relationship at that point, but I don't recall whether this was ever confirmed...
she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeShe wasn't...she dated other humans before. It was only mutual, that's all.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. After thinking about it, I guess it's more ironic than anything for someone like me who's never so much as been on a date to really enjoy a show all about love and relationships. So maybe I'm more uncomfortable about someone being happy in a relationship than anything else because I start getting too introspective.
Something similar happened the other day when I was watching a live stream I watch regularly. Only that week, he had a guest on it: his girlfriend. After less than an hour, i had to turn it off.

Well...actually, kissing on the mouth is fine between two females if it's still presented as a joke.
According to the PPG reboot.
