If so I misunderstood that part then.
But either way I'm not seeing how using the cluster to solve everything wouldn't be a Deus ex Machina.
Although if it's big enough to pop the earth when it forms, I don't think it forming outside of the center, would be any less destructive.
That seems more likely...seeing how Pearl would be out of her comfort zone in context.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I was watching the first episode, because Cartoon Network is apparently celebrating Labour Day by showing really old episodes of Steven Universe. Towards the end of the episode where Steven is fighting centipeedle, he starts talking about cookie cat while trying to activate his shield. At one point he shouts "Cookie cat! He left his family behind!" Um, what? Does cookie cat have a long involved backstory that I'm not aware of?

That's apart of the song...he sung it fully twice.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Rewatching some of the early season 1 episodes makes me appreciate that Steven actually does go through a considerable amount of Character Development. Cause he was seriously kinda grating back then.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yep, Intended Audience Reaction at here. It's presented as such in-universe which makes it more tolerable.
Yeah, during the first season I thought the show would be like a Monster of the Week superhero show from the perspective of the kid sidekick. And I remember thinking that the premise could work if it had a character focus. I'm glad the show went in the direction it did.
I just wish they found a good balance between plot and character development.

Yes,cookie cat comes from the cookie world but the evil space rock race crumbled their world leaving him the last cookie cat in existence
(if their universe has a race of space rocks then they can have a race of confectionery foods too!)

Cookie Cat the character does not appear to be made of ice cream or cookies, he's just the mascot for a brand of them.

They could just break it apart and glue the Gem shards back together...get a little healing spit action and viola...a whole bunch of healed CGs.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The Cluster is inside Earth's crust, and the only way for it to emerge would involve earth being destroyed..so the chances of deus ex machina are slim
Unless it's part of the seasonal final and they have a reset button at the end
