I'm not nearly as familiar with Neil Gaiman as I should be- I thought Frowny was supposed to be Alan Rickman.
Yeah, it's been a busy few days- I'm visiting and doing stuff with my folks so I just now watched the episode and caught up with the thread.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty. They were looking for other Crystal Gems, remember?
The CGs used to make the Cluster.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She got one in "Cry for Help"...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I liked her song in "Cry For Help". It was short, mellow and sad. It's my fifth favorite song on the show, below "It's Over", "Do It For Her/Him", "Here Comes A Thought", and "Stronger Than You".
"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawI wish that song was longer. It was a beautiful song, but it felt too short. I feel like if not that she should have gotten a song during the Jasper arc.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. That book certainly would fix someone's only possible gripe with that episode...
Though...being that it's a supplement, it won't get off the hook so easily.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I have no problems.
A criticism on a review I saw of the episode was: how short the passage of time was when Ruby and Sapphire were connecting in a romantic way. It seemed like no time had passed and they felt that kinda ruined Garnet's "no love at first sight" speech in a prior episode, it was a minor criticism though.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I don't know, the point of a montage is to get through things quickly with the implication that a fair bit of time is passing.
it looked like it was awhile before they decided to try and form Garnet again, and even then everything didn't immediately come to them.
Really though, the problem seems to be having to tell the story in eleven minutes. Though, I guess that Ruby and Sapphire's initial reactions are really sudden.

I thought that was the point of the montage, though indeed the passage of time could have been more clear.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Yeah, it was that the passage of time didn't seem clear enough during the montage.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Since that montage was always at night, what about the phases of the moon?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Pearl might get to be more outgoing...human interaction is a must need.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Went to a con this weekend, saw a decent amount of Stevonnies, Roses, and Stevens (with one mother/son cosplaying Rose and Steven it was so adorable), three Pearls (including a Waitress!Pearl), two Garnets, and at least two Amethysts, a Peridot (hosted a fun SU Jeopardy panel), one Lapis and one Bob. Surprised I didn't see any Bismuth cosplays, but it hasn't been that long since she premiered...
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged Men

I listened to Here Comes A Thought and rescind my previous complaint that it was a boring song (tho it still aint It's Over Isn't It).
Please kick me in the face for being wrong at your earliest convenience.
