I thought it was someone doing an impression of Sinbad.

Somewhat. But Colton Dunn, his new VA, is also a comedian, so the references still work.
Thing is Garnet while given more focus, was largely there to help Steven and Connie, and was pretty much unchanged from the experience.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. She exhibited a lot more personality in "Know Your Fusion." The problem is all her episodes are related to fusion. Or much more occasionally future vision.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.![]()

Well that explains why I still feel that way...after finding out.
That's a weirdly specific race phrase.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I understand that Garnet's balanced personality means she's less flawed than the other characters it would be nice to have at least one episode per season, that looked at her problems. Maybe leadership related problems?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. It's not balanced...Ruby is clearly dominant 65% of the time.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Her default state is stoic (like Sapphire) but when she gets emotional she gets angry and punchy a lot of the time.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. It's true that Garnet usually gets characterization in support of other characters' stories. Even the Sardonyx arc was more about Pearl than it was about her: and the one episode that she did have to herself was actually about Ruby and Sapphire.
She's a role you see in a lot of ensemble series, a character who mostly has her issues together and serves more as a mentor/guide to help other characters get through their problems. She gets episodes that flesh her out, but she rarely gets ones that hinge upon her insecurities, problems and personal issues. Instead, her character development is indirect, and you learn the most about her through comparison with other characters.
The Answer was a decent Garnet episode, though, since while it was mostly about Ruby and Sapphire there was a lot of Garnet talking about how she felt when she first came into existence and how unsure she was about why existed and such. Keep It Together is another one.
I think a great way to give Garnet her own arc would be to focus on how it felt for her to be thrust into the leader role after Rose died. She's the only relevant character that we haven't gotten a "what she/he went through when Rose died" episode/arc for.

Hmm. If there was a side of Garnet I'd like to see again, its her from Rose's Scabbard after Pearl freaks out. That didn't seem like a Garnet that knew how things would turn out, that seemed like a Garnet that didn't know quite what to do.
This, yes. Though I have the headcanon that Greg first met Ruby and Sapphire when Rose died, though a less morbid occurrence seems likely.

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenFar as I can tell, Garnet doesn't seems to have any problems unless they're brought on by outside influences, like the Cluster experiments, or that time Pearl fused with her repeatedly under false pretenses. Even her insecurity over her leadership qualities are caused by Pearl, Amethyst, and Steven being hot messes.
x5 They have to be stoic, their contrasting personalities wouldn't keep them fused long if they weren't.
Opal is an example of that...for different reasons.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Also, as someone who is confident and well-adjusted with very few personal hang-ups or emotional drama, I feel like Garnet provides some much needed representation for my group, especially in a show like this, which has almost nobody like that otherwise.

It taught us that any surfaced negative thoughts do affect the fusion...

She's a frood who really knows where her towel is.

Oh God! Natural light! That's not quite the same thing.
That was Ruby and Sapphire's contrasting feelings almost causing them to split.
Connie's regret on hurting that kid resulted in Stephonnie having a guilt trip delusion.

x7 Never thought of it that way... I still want to se more of Opal, she only caused an impact becuse she was the first fusion, while sugilite wreaked a lot of havoc in her first apparition; thinking about it, I want to see more of both of them. I mean if fusions are persons too it just feel worng to me not having episodes dedicated to them, I really liked Know Your Fusion.
How do we know Ruby and Saphire didn't have their own delusions while that happened?

They could've had one...similar to Stephonnie's freaking out in "Alone Together" and "Beach City Drift".

I think part of the problem with Garnet is, ironically, her Character Development. Before Jailbreak, she was the stern, mysterious, badass leader. She was aloof to everyone, but she loved Steven and loved spending time with him.
But once she was revealed as a fusion, Garnet became more open and willing to engage with people. And because she has future vision and is one of the most emotionally stable characters in the show, Garnet spends a lot of her screentime helping out the people around her.
