Pretty nice piece of filler. Garnet was convenient, but I don't really mind. Plus, I liked the Lars and Sadie appearance. I'm not a Lars hater, but he wasn't an exaggerated jerk like usual. Just a lazy jerk of smaller proportions.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenConsidering there's already TONS of lesbian subtext on this show, its about time there was some for a male gay couple.
Also I've seen a lot of people joking that Mr. Frowny looks like a depressed Neil Gaiman.
For some reason I thought Paul Mc Cartney, even though I don't think Paul ever looked like that.
Embarrassing secret don't tell anyone, I thought Mr. Frowny would turn out to be Greg's estranged British, not-bald brother. This way makes more sense.
Too bad for any potential shipping he had to get on that there bus and we hardly ever see Mr. Smiley so who knows about Mr. Frowny. Maybe if we're lucky decent fanfics will be writ.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Mr. Harold be strong as bucks picking up Mr. Sad face like dat...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Can't wait for the Onion Arc. You think the show's gone through Cerebus Syndrome now...We haven't seen anything yet.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. That'd be a great troll episode...as long as they get it across as a joke as soon as possible.
Notice how they're always on-screen at the same time.

Anyway Garnet showing up and giving Steven a smooch was really adorable, but I'm worried that her future vision is making her into more of a walking plot mover who sometimes dispenses words of wisdom and punches things than a character in her own right.
Isn't that what she already was?
Or is she just not displaying enough personality recently?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It feels like they're leaning a little too heavily on her future sight ability. Granted it mostly shows up in the lighthearted episodes so it's not like she has plothax but she always just conveniently knows things or is there to help shoo the story along.
Anyway regarding the shippy undertones does anyone think it comes off a little one-sided? The subtext is pretty damn blatant on Mr. Frowny's side, but not nearly as much with Mr. Smiley's that it could be chalked up to Does This Remind You of Anything? parallels. Though there's still a few lines from Smiley which also come off that way too.

Yeah, Garnet and steven will always be cute, but sometimes I wish garnet would show a little more of... personality (?); I don't know, maybe by making an episode where she's the one getting help froms others?
You know something? Even before none of the outcomes steven saw with future vision were good, I actually thought that Mr Frowny personality was going to make steven depressed... and other thing, after all the things that have happened to him I'm actually surprissed Mr Smiley is still able to tell others to "take things with fun".
Also, I never noticed that Mr Smiley had beaver teeth...or at least they weren't as noticeable as in this episode.

His teeth were always like that...but apparently, someone decided to draw a line there to make it more...obvious, I guess.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I just found out Mr. Smiley used to be voiced by Sinbad
in season 1. That explains why Mr.Smiley always seemed familiar, and him being a stand up comedian in this episode. Guess it's a Mythology Gag.

So the TV refused to show "Future Boy Zoltron" and instead reran "Bubbled," meaning I had to go online and watch, *le gasp!* a leak.
