I also expect this to happen. I'm not necessarily counting out a full invasion, but it strikes me as the sort of thing that would be the series finale, or at least a final season arc.
Oh God! Natural light!Peridot blew up. Jaspee is MIA. There are unknown rebels destroying HW tech. YD doesn't know when the Cluster will hatch. Everyone on Earth is shattered. The Rubles showed up too late.
That about somes it up.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yellow has no way of knowing everything's gone to shit for her. She doesn't know that she's getting no Cluster, or that Peri is still alive (and not threatened by said Cluster), or that the rubies fucked up and are now floating in the depths of space, or that even if they did everything right Jaspy is in no state to give information or otherwise be of service.
As far as she knows everything is going splendidly.
tl;dr a Dramatic Irony a day keeps the diamond away

moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrWe're probably not going to get a Jade by that name. Judging by Bismuth's offhanded reminiscences, this show differentiates between the two minerals commonly referred to as jade: nephrite (Bismuth mentions a Nephrite pilot) and jadeite.
Yellow Diamond hasn't even confirmed the Crystal Gems' survival.
(Dramatic Irony would require us to see things from her viewpoint.)

Because reasons didn't explain it well enough.
So I wonder, for a colony would the planet have to have life? I mean I think they would mine rocky Barren planets for ore and such to build ships, weapons, and buildings. But for growing gems? I assume it needs a planet with life to "make life". I mean I assume since during roses rebellion the diamonds seem to have a small amount of planets under their control.
And the cluster, for that many gems are they made up of crystal gems?maybe there was a purge in the diamond armies for failing to defeat the crystal gems and saving the colony? or maybe there were other rebellions, during or after the war?
I think the bigger issue is that most gem technology the humans could find is in ruins.

How does one figure out how warp pads or the warp whistle work? They don't.
Those don't give you that answer to the mystery. Only an alternative way for them to function.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. If they made it they can explain how they did, and how it works. Doesn't really even seem that complicated, it just activates the warp pad, by making a certain tone of sound. Not really a big mystery.
Now, they might not understand more recent things, like how the Ruby Space ship works, but some of the more simple stuff they could probably give them some direction at least. Just enough stuff to make people's lives more convenient.
Now, do I think they would want to do that? Probably not.

I wonder if the warp pads are tied to a specific location or whether you could dig up the pad and place it somewhere else.

They already know why one ship isn't returning, the Peridot told YD what happened.
