Humans being useless is the only thing that makes sense...
Most of the Gem stuff left on Earth isn't actually tech and no human would be able to work it out, there are like...at most 2 ancient broken down space ships, one of which is currently inhabited.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.- Most gem technology doesn't even turn on unless a gem touches it. If there's a way around that, it would be quite complicated, possibly even beyond what Pearl or Peridot can handle in a reasonable time frame.
- There is relatively little gem tech on earth, and even less in working condition.
- What is working is demonstrable useless compared to modern gem technology.
Earth's only real hope is the current pseudo-guerilla tactics where the Crystal Gems personally prevent Homeworld scouts from bringing back any proof of their continued existence or that the Cluster won't be hatched.
also one broken warship and the Ruby ship. I mean you got an engineer on your side, why dont they use her skills into teach humans stuff or atlest improve the Crystal gem stuff like Roses cannons. Hell atlest try to make more non lethal anti gem weapons like the destabiliser Jasper used.

I'm sure humans have tried to reverse engineer gem technology before, it was just beyond them and probably will be for the foreseeable future.
Yes the Crystals Gems could help, but they don't want to draw attention to themselves like that.

Assuming the Peridot or Pearl would care to teach humans about how Gem tech works.

Only problem with that is the fact they never really tried to hide themselves at all currently.I also ment paradot using her skills to improve the gems defenses in case another ship shows up. Like improving the rose cannons since the last time they tried to use them the beam bounced off it.

Any new ideas on the white gem inside the Pyramid Temple? People were speculating that gem might've been White Diamond before the existence of the Homeworld Diamond Quartet/Trifecta was 100% confirmed, but that's almost definitely not the case anymore. It might still be something associated with her though. Or, it could be something like Milky Quartz or Calcite.
I still hope Ronaldo dragging that piece away comes up again, even if it's just a Brick Joke.
I do feel like humanity finally finding a way to adapt gem tech (which has, for previously stated reasons, only been accessible to gems for some time now) would be a very interesting development, albeit distracting from the show's careful balance of alt-history and real world parallels.
That being said, I don't think a full on Homeworld invasion is really in the cards. While some of the few remaining leaked episode titles from way back in Season 2 (are we allowed to talk about those?) hint at... something happening with Beach City, I doubt that YD, matriarch of a galaxy spanning celestial empire, would really put herself that much into the swing of things, even to settle an old score. They already sent one of their elite Jaspers (her status among the Rubies would certainly suggest as much) to Earth, I have no idea how they'd escalate the conflict any further than simply sending... more.
What I find a more interesting path is if, perhaps during the course of a small scale Homeworld "invasion", Steven and the Crystal Gems (or perhaps even just Steven) are abducted and taken to Homeworld or one of the Diamond homes. And from there we get our first face-to-face conversations with the Diamonds, or at least Yellow Diamond. With the ultimate endgame being the spread of Crystal Gem ideology throughout the empire, resulting in large scale changes beginning in Gems across the galaxy.
Homeworld still doesn't know the extent of the rebel forces on Earth, right?
Since nobody has managed to file a report and Peridot covered for the Crystal Gems
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThey expected Jaspee or the Cluster to deal with any possible rebels, it almost worked.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice."Last One Out of Beach City" is the title in question, but people only assumed it involved an evacuation because it was next to "Earthling" and "Back to the Moon". It's just as likely to be innocuous in context, like "Rising Tides/Crashing Skies".

Huh. Okay...
