He's not being serious, mang.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I've been thinking a bit about what weapons the possible fusions with Peridot would have, since she doesn't have a weapon (so far, anyway) and her power is so unique in comparison to the others.
I imagine Peridot+Lapis being the definition of a Quadratic Wizard or a psychic powerhouse, never throwing a punch or summon a physical weapon (and maybe even being largely non-physically active in general) but having extremely powerful psychic abilities that means she never has to get close. But that's more of an obvious one.
The only other one I can really think of one for is Peridot+Garnet, maybe utizing lots and lots and lots of Rocket Punches and floating fists that can act as extra hands for her. I suppose Peridot+Amethyst would be like Legend of Korra'e Metalbenders, with the whips made if metal, or perhaps a "tendrils of magnetized metal" bit akin to a good version of Carnage.
I'd also really like Peridot+Pearl to be a super Gadgeteer Genius, though maybe that's something more fit for a hypothetical Peridot+Bismuth.

Why can't it fit for both? All 3 of them are smart builders.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I said before that my mom has seen a few episodes and really likes the show, but apparently, she still doesn't fully agree with it. She said something along the lines of:
While I'm still working with a team of scientists to fully decipher what precisely she meant, I think what she was trying to say is that she would want it to be more direct about positively portraying same-gender relationships. I tried telling her that we'd just end up in the days of 80s and 90s cartoons, where episodes would stop dead in their tracks to teach a lesson to the kids. But she wasn't convinced, saying that those would be better than things like this.
Personally, I think she's just trying to disagree with the message under the guise of saying the message isn't prevalent enough, but I guess that begs the question: What episodes of this show aren't all that subtle in portraying same-sex relationships?
The only one I can think of off the top of my head is "The Answer".

"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawThere's also Hit the Diamond. Where they outright say Ruby and Sapphire are flirting. And "It's Over Isn't It" really doesn't make much sense if you don't already realize Pearl was in love with Rose.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Besides making them non-human, "Steven Universe" ain't exactly subtle...it's just not "In yo face" about its messages. Not enough to be questionable.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yeah, if she's only seen a few episodes, I'm unsure if any of those were any of the Ruby + Sapphire or Pearl + Rose episodes because none of those are subtle.
Jasper will be half-corrupted but less so than Centipeedle since Steven caught it soon enough (since bubbling completely suspends gems, the corruption hasn't progressed) so she'll still be able to speak and such. She'll basically be a furry for the rest of the show.
Yeah thas probs what he meant. Though, there was a lack of common sense. If Jaspee let him heal her, she would've had a great opportunity to attack him...and Stephen really should've known this.
Pride before reasoning...she's a nutcase.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.@Blue Blaze 64 I also really get where she's coming from, hell most modern cartoons still seem to just dance around the concept of homosexuality without ever openly stating it and leaving it to subtext, but I'd also also argue the SU is pretty freaking open about this kind of stuff especially with Ruby and Sapphire.

GUNDAMU GUNDAMUsomeone wants another layer to their Perverse Sexual Lust i see
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrLooking back on older Cartoon Network shows...
Peridot really needs to meet up with The Computer from Courage The Cowardly Dog.
Think she could fix that snark bait?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She hasn't been corrupted for long though. Compared to Centi being corrupted for 5000 years and Stevo was still able to make a lot of progress with her, relatively speaking.
I just want the memes.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.If he tried again, her rage towards Rosey would've probably ended up instantly re-corrupting her fully. It's not worth it.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.funny story i had been joking since gem hunt that she would fuck one of the gem beasts
then it turned out that yep pretty much
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrDat STD/betrayal after sex parallel is pretty strong.
I think Steven was really trying to believe he could do more to help. That one moment more than anything really brought home to me how tragic corruption is. That a fully intelligent, talking creature that was trying to kill you earlier is now a raving nut makes it scarily explicit how fast and horrible a Gem s mind degenerates.
It's not just your run of the mill Body Horror, we're talking destruction of the intelligent mind where they can barely even think, let alone help themselves.
Centi's screams still haunt me after that episode.

I want two new Gems: a naturally formed one, to represent the chaotic beauty of coming from nature, and a really, REALLY, REEEAAAALLLLLLYYYY, old one. So old that she's gone through almost all of the energy within her Gem and is nearing the end of her natural life-span.
