I tried paying attention to both of Sardonyx's eyes, and it reminded me of a bit of lore in Mass Effect, about how batarians' four eyes confuse two-eyed races because each pair moves different when expressing emotion.
Its times like this where I'm glad I avoid all that crap like the plague.

That is the primary problem.
Shipp is secondary negative.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.uh, hello, I'm new and I would like to join this thread because I like this series and would like to be able to discuss it with other people (did I write that correctly or it sounded akward?)
anyways, I cannot belive you're all thinking the last episode was filler, or that at least it was more filler than any other character focused episode; I mean, this episode was focused on the main characters, we learned some things about fusion, that they have their onw rooms that dissapear whe they aren't fused, wich is weird, and we also learned that steven and amathyst's insecurities also affect smoky, which could seem obvious to some, but it's actually good to have it been stated on the show, I imagine it isn't a fun experience, wil steven and amethyst be as williing to fuse next time after this?
obviusly yes, but of course the show will help them in getting more secure about themselves at the same time, still, is something to consider, don't you think so?
also, this is the start of the season, even if I'm sure they'll continue to advance the plot (after the summer of steven I think the series will have a tone shift, even if small, to be more plot ridden), there's no need for every chapter to be like that; also this wasn't a breather episode for me at all... poor smoky.

I did catch the Wilhelm scream. Thought that was a clever way of incorporating it into an episode revolving around television send-ups.
Yo, welcome to the thread! And if it helps, I thought "Know Your Fusion" was a good bit of character study for two fusions, one of whom we rarely see and deserve to know more about, and also Sardonyx. Now tell me show,
There's been a new release in the line of quality "Stets" YTPs.
Also found another Poop called "Gem Hun"* , Part 1
and 2
. (A little choppy in spots, but it's the dude's first attempt, and I did find some parts clever.)

Previously known as "71TheRoman". Wishes his password wouldn't forget who he is...I never understood why people act as if filler is a negative in and of itself. It isn't, it just means that, overall, it's something that could be cut without losing anything too important. And that does describe this episode. Learning that Sardonyx and presumably some of the other fusions have rooms is nice, but it's hardly important or something the story couldn't do without.

As I said before, due to the type of show this is, there is no filler in SU. The general crux of the show is the daily lives of Steven and the Gems, with all of the plot-heavy stuff being a rare occasions. Even the seemly unimportant episodes usually wind up actually setting up much bigger things later on

GUNDAMU GUNDAMU
x4 "...you're all thinking..." well that's wrong right off the bat.

That may have been true in the beginning, but I don't think most people watch for the slice of life feel. I remember early on it seemed like pretty much everyone wanted them to hurry and move away from that.
And at this point in the story, I think we're too engrossed in actual plot to just say "there's no such thing as filler".

Even with that in mind, we just got off some pretty heavy character arcs. It makes sense that for the start of the new season they are just cooling things down for now.
I'm just sick and tired of nearly every show I like having an annoying and venomous shipping fanbase

GUNDAMU GUNDAMUinB4 Lord Sucrose hears demands for less Boardie episodes, and has Homeworld Gems invade and enslave Beach City for bubbling the Cluster.

Previously known as "71TheRoman". Wishes his password wouldn't forget who he is...The show isn't really pure slice of life anymore and I do think the Myth Arc is the most compelling part of the show, but it's hardly the only thing about it still and acting like anything else is "filler" is misguided in my opinion, partly because people can have different reasons for enjoying the show and place more importance on different things.

x8 I didn't mean it like I knew what you were thinking, also I was talking about the ones that said that it felt like filler to them.
regarding that, we also learned that every gem fusion has thir own unique power, wich to me seems like an important titbit of information...

The show might not be purely Slice of Life anymore, but the SoL antics are still a huge part of the show. That part of it isn't gonna go away, for better or worse.
The only fusions explicitly shown to have a specific power (outside of their own unique weapon) are Garnet (basically just a refined version of Sapphire's foresight ability) and Alexandrite (fire breath)

GUNDAMU GUNDAMUWe should probably meet some more hyoo-mans.
Garnet has lightning/electricity powers, mang.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I do wonder, where are they going to take the plot now that we have no obvious threat to deal with, and will it involve meeting some new variations of these, as you say, hyoo-mans?
Previously known as "71TheRoman". Wishes his password wouldn't forget who he is...Even the "filler"-iest episodes in Steven Universe these days reveal important things about the characters' powers or backstories that come into play in later episodes. It's not like the Thundercats reboot which had a lot of episodes that felt like you could skip them entirely and not be confused if you jumped in at a later point.

I think Pearl is my favorite gem in terms of complexity and literary merit, but I identify with Lapis the most since I have depression and a lot of Lapis' behavior post-Malachite is easy for me to identify with.
