Yeah I kind of laughed at that scene. Though it was mostly a recognition about how narmy that line is out of context
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.- Being repeatedly punched in the head by Garnet
- Being thrown into a ships power core
- which then exploded
- which then exploded again after the ship crashed from orbit
- Being Malachite
- Being Malachite being beaten up by Alexandrite
- water punched by Lapis for miles
- Power slammed by Stevonnie
- Smacked around by Smokey Quartz
List of things Jasper hasn’t survived:
- Peridot with a sharp stick
Just something I saw and found hilarious.

Pink Diamond...keeled your father.
TBF that was after corruption...
Gems generally have varying degrees of durability (considering the next episode)...even corruptions, so it could be the "recent" thing.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Gem durability I think just runs on Rule of Drama and Rule of Funny then any real set scale.
If we put it in Dungeons & Dragons terms, maybe Gems are just more vulnerable to piercing damage than bludgeoning damage.
Well, unless it's directly to a gem, gem bodies are just light constructs. Blunt force trauma can cause internal damage, but compromising the physical form of a gem seems easiest with a stabbing or cutting weapon.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenA strong enough blunt impact will poof a Gem...as Jaspee has proven.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.By the way, I like how quickly they've been shattering fan theories. Like after confirming that Rose did something to Pink Diamond, the next episode confirms she shattered her, and then this episode really says "Yes, she actually shattered her, no PD didn't fake her death, no the Ruby wasn't tricked, or any other convoluted theory you've come up with". Very straight to the point, which is unusual for the show, but I really appreciate it here.

Yeah, they needed to drop the harsh truth soon...nothing idealistic goes.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Notes on bubbled:
- The theme tune is a reassurement not just a catchy song I really needed that "and if you think we can't we'll always find a way" to sing to myself at every point in this episode
- That's not how asteroid fields work
- It seems Steven can create air and/or breathe in space????
- STEVEN CAN'T DIE WE HAVE TWO MORE SEASONS TO FILL D: wait never mi—WAIT
- THIS IS NO FUCKING WAY TO END A SEASON WHAT THE FUCK CREWNIVE— oh?
- WORDS CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW RELIEVED I AM NOW HOLY FUCKING SHIT
- Hello infodump my old friend

No, he was clearly running out of air when he re-bubbled, he curled up fetal style.
That's the first dark thing on this show.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yes, yes they are. Essentially dead until retrieved by other gems...or slam into a white star.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So do you guys want the other Diamonds to be genuinely grieving over the loss of Pink Diamond, or just concerned over her death as a political manner? Both? Depending on the Diamond?
I don't think the Diamonds are being redeemed, especially after this season, which is all about the people that will not listen to Steven or accept his friendship. Even if it is likely some season 3 antagonists will end up joining the CG, it prepares the audience for other villains not doing so. That does not mean, however, that the Diamonds cannot be well-rounded, complex, emotional villains.

IF nothing else her range is impressive, I mean I definitely wouldn't think the same woman is voicing Princess Allura too.
