Yay, Stephen essentially killed all the Rubles temporarily...hopefully that ending discussion doesn't cop-out like Avatar did.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.
x5 Building up that "Steven" has to kill a Gem if there is no other solution...but still somehow gives him a way out in the end.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. What bothers me is that "Bismuth" established that Rose was morally opposed to shattering her enemies, which is what ruined the relationship between her and Bismuth. Why would they introduce us to such a major part of Rose's character if they were just going to renege on it a few episodes later?

And then we go back to weekly episodes for a while. So yeah, I've been having lots of fun in between bawling into my blanket.
Guest Star syndrome.
Is it weird if I want to ship Jasper/Eyeball after this?

Oh yeah? Last I heard Bubbled was the last episode with a known airdate, so I assumed Summer of Steven was over, and that we'd be going back to weekly episodes next week, with nothing new airing on Thursday and Friday.

x5 The extreme argument is that Rosey shattering one Diamondo when she had no other choice is somehow the same as wanting to use a weapon designed for shattering and only shattering.
People need to stop asking this question.

With all that in mind, I'm hoping that things aren't as simple as Garnet describes it. I want it to be that when we know the full story, it remains an open question if shattering Pink was truly the only option Rose had, or if that's just what Garnet tells herself so she can live with it. It seems like kind of a waste to introduce this huge, morally ambiguous point to Rose's character, only to have another character brush it aside by saying that it was the only thing that could be done.

Space isn't quite the double duty vacuum in fiction remember? It's basically like being underwater.
@39414: Yeah, I get that. Logically, it does make sense. I'm just saying... from a storytelling perspective, maybe it could have been handled better? Like, I think "Bismuth" and "Back to the Moon" should have been aired further apart. You know, spend a few episodes fleshing out Rose's philosophies on war, before hitting us with the shocking reveal in the moon episode. You feeling me?

is why I thought we weren't getting any more episodes this week.

Well that was a great season finale, but I hope the Ruby Squad somehow make it out of space safely. Also, the use of the ending theme during the episode was so nice and warm.
Though, I have to say, when the credits played... are we getting the beginning of a new song?
