Plus, what Steven did to Eyeball was pretty messed up, but at the same time I can't blame him, considering that was pretty much the only option.

Hearing "Love Like You" near the end made my heart melt.

But I'm thinking it was added in post (or something) to give it more of a "Season Finale" feel.

So, who wants to bet that Homeworld's going to learn about Steven from Eyeball?

And now they have a ship so space travel is no longer an issue should it come up again. And I can't image it won't.

Burnett said it was written as a season three finale, and the animation would be completely different if there was any dialogue in there originally.

I'm definitely willing to bet that Homeworld is gonna come after the Crystal Gems thanks to the Ruby Squad.

You'd think they'd at least try to find the Ruby Squad to bubble. It was bizarrely easy to find Steven.

And Yellow Diamond is going to rip Steven gem right out and smash it right in front of him. Ugh. It just got real.

I'm a tad disappointed that a Gem getting a big "Stronger Than You"-esque number isn't going to be a season finale tradition.

Ah, well. All things in moderation.

Gotta say, it was pretty awesome to finally hear the vocal version of "Love Like You" finally played on the show.

Also Eyeball's fantasy of potentially owning a Pearl was kinda...

I'd image Steven getting his gem ripped off would be severely debilitated, assuming it doesn't just kill him.

Steven is partly made of flesh and organs, though. His body isn't a projection that would just go poof. I'd imagine the gem being removed would look really messy.

Maybe he'd be stripped of his gem powers but otherwise fine? You know besides removing the rock grafted to his belly flesh.

It's part of his being, it might make him terribly ill if removed. Like a somewhat major organ.

I think it'd be worse than that. The way I figure it, the gem and its Hard Light is providing half of Steven's genetic material. I'd imagine some very graphic Body Horror if it were removed.

Oh, I didn't know that. It was still really good.

It kept reminding me of The Little Prince.

Steven's gem stores half of the "information" that makes up his body right? I can't image removing it would go well for him.

Everything about Steven is weird, if they said the half of his DNA that was provided from Rose was permenant and won't fade with his gem I wouldn't raise an eyebrow [lol]

[up][up][up] I'm perfectly fine not knowing, to be honest.

Yesterday, I was envisioning an arc where Homeworld Gems abduct Steven and transport him to Homeworld to answer for Rose's crimes. With this episode, I think that just got considerably more likely.

[up][up] I don't think that squares well with the idea that Steven and Rose can't both exist at the same time. If Steven's body didn't rely on Rose's gem, there's no reason why she'd have to give up her being in order to form him along with Greg.

At least now we know that a Gem's personal weapon is unique even among gems of the same type. Bismuth hinted at it, but Eyeball pulling a dagger out of her... eyeball confirmed it.
