She's the Apathy Princess.

I watched Earthlings. Smokey Quartz is cool, and I loudly yelled "WHAT A TWIST" when Jasper said "PINK DIAMOND"

Jasper and all the other Beta Kindergarten gems were created after the rebellion started as a quick way to bolster Homeworld's ranks.

That Peridot/Lapis comic is just the best.

I found Jasper's perspective on Rose interesting, saying that she only recruits people when they're at their lowest. She's probably off base, but as I've said, I'm a fan of shady Rose.

I don't doubt that we'll see her in flashback episode, though I don't know who the character would be that could tell Steven the story besides Jasper herself. Maybe her and Rose were even friends and sisters in arms, until Rose switched sides - it would explain her obsession with exacting revenge on her.

I don't know about that- I think it would have come up in her introductory episode. I think it was more a case of Unknown Rival.

I'm curious; how come "Bismuth" is considered one 22 minute episode, but Beta/Earthlings are considered two seperate episodes, despite the fact that Earthlings continues directly from Beta?

Beta and Earthlings have different teams of storyboard artists, while Bismuth in its entirety is boarded by the same (abnormally large) team throughout.

Got a question about our pages on Bismuth (episode and character).

Throughout, our pages seem to be asserting that Bismuth's desire to use the breaking point went as far as approaching genocidal towards any gems from Homeworld. But that doesn't seem to be borne out in the actual dialogue in the episode at all. I get the feeling that what we have on the pages now is an unfounded assumption that kind of snowballed.

People take one little issue and assume it's the end all and be all of character. Remove the nuance and leave the surface, that's how the game it played for some reason.

Haven't read Bismuth's page, but I got the impression that as much as she hated the aristocracy of the Homeworld, the Diamonds were her main target. I could see her being willing to accept a surrender from the other Homeworld Gems after taking out the Diamonds.

Not genocidal, no, but merciless. No poofing and bubbling: if you stand against the CG, you get shattered. She also attacked Lapis despite her not being a combat Gem (though Lapis is likely a member of the aristocracy, and they're the target of Bismuth's ire.)

Peridot and Jasper's loyalty to Homeworld shows how hard it would be to get them to stop fighting for the Diamonds. They wouldn't surrender.

Also, she was in the middle of an active battlefield. Assumptions are made during a battle; I don't think Bismuth attacked Lapis specifically because of her position.

And yeah, I totally get what you're saying about Bismuth's position and all. I just think the pages we have now are representing the character incorrectly

I agree. She doesn't want to kill every single Homeworld gem, even the aristocracy. Just if they don't give up.

Otherwise, she'd hate Sapphire.

Bismuth wanted to kill the Diamonds and anyone who stood in the Crystal Gems' way of doing so. Her plans for the aristocracy are more ambiguous.

If a wiki entry is wrong, then change it and explain why there.

Assumptions are made during a battle; I don't think Bismuth attacked Lapis specifically because of her position.
Considering Lapis was not fighting, was running away, and (perhaps most significantly) was probably a type of gem Homeworld would not send into battle, I don't think it's a very reasonable assumption.

Hell, maybe that's why Homeworld thought she was a Crystal Gem—that a lapis lazuli would only fight and get poofed if she had defected.

Otherwise, she'd hate Sapphire.
Sapphire had abandoned the aristocracy willingly.

Hence if they don't give up. And before, not have, the ram has touched the wall, so to speak.

I will go and change it later , when I can (can't right now). I just wanted to discuss it beforehand so it doesn't look like vandalism.

So long as you explain your edits properly in your comment (something along the lines of "she never said that"), it's never vandalism.

Speaking of non combatants remember Pearl attacked Saophire back in the day, that's not really a factor in all this, especially since poofing isn't that big of a deal.

I really like when a fusion has a voice actor that actually kind of sounds like a combination between the two characters' voices. Sugilite sounds like a more aggressive version of Amethyst, and Smokey Quartz sounds like Amethyst with a less raspy voice.

Rewatching Smokey Quartz's scene, I'm rather surprised at how subdued most of her delieveries are.
