I don't know about that- I think it would have come up in her introductory episode. I think it was more a case of Unknown Rival.
Got a question about our pages on Bismuth (episode and character).
Throughout, our pages seem to be asserting that Bismuth's desire to use the breaking point went as far as approaching genocidal towards any gems from Homeworld. But that doesn't seem to be borne out in the actual dialogue in the episode at all. I get the feeling that what we have on the pages now is an unfounded assumption that kind of snowballed.
I have a message from another time...Not genocidal, no, but merciless. No poofing and bubbling: if you stand against the CG, you get shattered. She also attacked Lapis despite her not being a combat Gem (though Lapis is likely a member of the aristocracy, and they're the target of Bismuth's ire.)
Peridot and Jasper's loyalty to Homeworld shows how hard it would be to get them to stop fighting for the Diamonds. They wouldn't surrender.

Also, she was in the middle of an active battlefield. Assumptions are made during a battle; I don't think Bismuth attacked Lapis specifically because of her position.
And yeah, I totally get what you're saying about Bismuth's position and all. I just think the pages we have now are representing the character incorrectly

I have a message from another time...Bismuth wanted to kill the Diamonds and anyone who stood in the Crystal Gems' way of doing so. Her plans for the aristocracy are more ambiguous.
If a wiki entry is wrong, then change it and explain why there.
Hell, maybe that's why Homeworld thought she was a Crystal Gem—that a lapis lazuli would only fight and get poofed if she had defected.

I really like when a fusion has a voice actor that actually kind of sounds like a combination between the two characters' voices. Sugilite sounds like a more aggressive version of Amethyst, and Smokey Quartz sounds like Amethyst with a less raspy voice.
Rewatching Smokey Quartz's scene, I'm rather surprised at how subdued most of her delieveries are.
They will figure out a cure for the corruption, and it will require Bismuth's help for it to work

She's not the Emo Queen.
She's the Apathy Princess.
