Smoky Quartz was glorious. That's gotta be my favorite weapon yet, a fucking whip/shield yoyo.
They're like a large, fun-loving if slightly immature kid with strong abilities, confidence, and a bit of smugness. So yeah, it's perfection.
I was losing my mind over Jasper's speech. That's some fantastic acting on her part.
This one's tied with Bismuth, Return/Jailbreak, Alone Together, and Sworn to the Sword as my favorite episodes. I can't pick just one.
SO much delicious, delicious world building.
Pretty awesome fanart of a potential 4-Diamond fusion.

GUNDAMU GUNDAMUI see zero reason to assume Smoky Quartz's extra half-arm is due to anything other than Rule of Cool.
Didn't Matt Burnett joss theories like this a long time ago?

Isn't it wonderful that we already know what all the Diamondo look like, that...that fan-art can exist.
It's...not...cool.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The appearance will be altered....but only aesthetically.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I'm glad that Smokey Quartz has my favorite type of ridiculous fictional weapon. There's something about yo yos that makes for a really cool fighting style.
And man, I just can't get over Earthlings. Jasper's line about people leaving her, her voice cracking while talking about Pink Diamond, and especially Amethyst calling her "sis".
I need big sis Jasper and little sis Amethyst. It's so precious.
I'm sorry, I still don't like them. I mean, fusion has been shown as a metaphor for sex and relationships (abusive or loving) in the past.
Amethist is Steven older sister.
Their fusion is a weird thing with three arms, not 4 or 2.
Just... no... maybe it wasn't the creators purpose, but it reminds me of the Borgias comic by Milo Manara.
I'm really sorry for seeing that.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I liked Smoky Quartz's weapon, but I found their character design a bit awkward-looking. Also, the skin didn't seem to be a blend of Steven's and Amethyst's, but a different one entirely. Maybe that was the intention, since it was a first-time unintentional fusion, but I hope there's a different design for them if they appear later on.
And I don't think Steven's part-Gem status will affect his fusions in the future, if he was able to fuse with Connie with no real imperfections.

"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawOh, hi! Glad to see you still around.
Now I think about it I guess I lurk more than I post as well
That was my impression as well. But despite the extra arm being kinda freaky, it fitted him perfectly, and they made good use of it, so it was awesome.
Overall I loved everything about Smoky Quartz. Their appearance, their personality, their weapon. I wasn't expecting it at all, but it made perfect sense.
Fusion is not sex. It is analogous to it on some situations (Ruby and Sapphire "first time") but hardly aways (else Stevonie would be squirk as well). It is analogous to relationship and intimacy, but not always of romantic nature (Garnet wouldn't be fusing anyone otherwise). Steven and Amethyst have a great relationship and love each other, so there is no reason why they couldn't fuse.
There something I feel people are overlooking.
Did Jasper fuse with that corrupt gem by force? I didn't think that was even possible.
EDIT: Or maybe it just "agreed" because that would get it out of the cage. Still kind of weird that corrupted gems are even capable of fusion.

All the relationships...bad and good.
Stephen and Amethyst have the best chemistry in the series.
I don't think the creatures are aware enough for that. What would you call Ruby and Sapphire's first time if not forced in a different sense...?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.A 3 way fusion between Stephen, Connie, and the Peridot gem? That's the only way it would be even close to possible.
