So some friends and I were talking and the great AHR had a theory based on the fact Jasper never actually says what Rose did to Pink Diamond and while it's possible she killed her or she did something "worse" in Jasper's eyes.
That thing being reformed Pink Diamond. And Pink Diamond willingly stepped down. Maybe reincarnated into something helpful. Something Rose would want to hide from people because it's an extremely powerful secret. Something not even her closest confidants could know about. Something with extraordinary abilities of unknown origin and one of the only mysteries we don't have any hints about.
Lion.

Amethyst is likely the only one who'd have used that term...

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The Gem placement doesn't seem to change...so, that don't help at all.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Sure, it makes sense that the one who "betrayed" you (we are talking about the Diamonds, a mere insult made one so angry so she activated the communicator to explode) is a great being. And if you basically "died" and "resurrected", help the one who "killed" you is the most reasonable decision.
Because that, I doubt that lion could be Pink Diamond.

You assume all Diamonds are alike, which is the same mistake Bismuth made about Homeworld loyalists. The whole point of mercy was Rose understanding that given the chance Gems could have the capacity to change and not every one was alike in their purpose. The potential to be different exists, and that would be one of the ultimate insults against the rigid Homeworld society if one Diamond realized that change was possible and made that choice.
Also not every gem has to be visible, for all we know its internal or hidden in the mane somewhere.
The Blog The ArtWhat of it? It's not like Jasper knows anything now, and even assuming Lion is Pink Diamond, it doesn't seem like he would either.
Oh, there's a shot to that theory right there, Lion is a he. Honestly I don't see how Lion being Pink Diamond is the easy answer. It strikes the same cord with me as "Lion is really Rose" and is only a leg up because it's technically possible.

In retrospect, count me in for this.
Hell, maybe Lion is the key to a possible Jasper redemption?
If I recall correctly, Steven only referred to Lion as a he and nobody's said anything to the contrary.
Plus some female lions have manes.

Because the characters call him male. Do you question any of the others (even corrupted ones) being called she. That doesn't strike me as clever, they don't even consider Lion a gem. Yeah, they could be wrong, but we have no real reason to believe that.
Edit: Also, if Lion was Pink Diamond, I'd imagine at least Pearl and Garnet would know about it. Jasper seems to know what happened to Pink Diamond and she's seen Lion. The whole thing seems like a giant stretch, really.

Eh, if Lion is pink diamond, I think that info would arrive at the end of the series. I could see Jasper freaking out and hugging Pink Diamond once she gets uncorrupted, but that'd be long after Jasper gets redeemed.
I think Jasper's redemption will rely on Steven proving he
A) isn't Rose
B) won't abandon Jasper
C) genuinely wants to help people

They might be one of those societies that executes anyone who talks bad about the Diamondo leaders. Can't be having those around, it's bad public.
