It took the Peridot gem half of the 2nd season to change stances while revealing other bomb-shells.
They can cover multiple things at a time...pretty sure the Crewniverse is good at juggling.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Doesn't really matter. They typically answer the big questions in Wham Episodes.
If the network suddenly didn't renew them, I think it's pretty realistic they could answer all the really big questions in a few Wham Episodes if they really wanted to, given how they've answered some pretty big stuff in single episodes before. And IIRC Rebecca said they have a plan on how to end the show in the event that happens.
I don't think they would even need 50 episodes to do it. They could do it in 5.

Yes because a Plot Arc like with Jasper doesn't really have a big lore question that needs to be answered. That's going to get resolved anyway. So I don't include it.
The only real big questions left after that, are how corruption can be fixed, how they'll win, and knowing more about who the Diamonds are. They could easily just hand wave the first one, and say that corruption can't be healed or have Steven healing it be part of the reason the show is ending, because it resolves a huge portion of the plot. The rest they could just resolve with one big grand finale.

There's still one more question.
Are there anything above the Diamondo?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That's about the worst thing I ever heard. That's even worse than the How I Met Your Mother ending and that's just terrible. And anyone could do an ending like that "LOLOLOL Forget about all those cool plot point and stuff! We have to end this shit in 5 episodes and by GOD we are doing it in the most terrible way we can". God. I agree that it will need 5 episodes togother to make the final Arc but it needs like 70 episodes to wrap things up well.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.Not ending in 5 episodes...?!
Answer crucial questions within 5 episodes...out of 50.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Cartoons are usually renewed when they still have the majority of a season or more left to air, because they want production to remain uninterrupted.
And peeps thought it would take them a long time to search all of Neptune, the Rubles showed them.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Considering how well the show is doing ratings-wise. I'd say that it getting renewed is an inevitability at this point. (hell its probably already renewed, they just can't say it yet)
Even so, I'd rather the show go out on a high note then a drag.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I kinda surprised I missed this untill now, but in the temple mural in "Serious Steven", Rose is holding up a Pink Diamond....

I often wonder if I was a kid if I'd pick up on all this stuff, especially the Diamond foreshadowing. I'd get most of the sexual implications/subtext that's a part of fusion, and maybe some of the emblem stuff if I was rewatching with a sharp eye. So maybe.
Just saying, we've only figured all this out with a lot of careful analysis and well-hidden clues.
What would age limit be for "kid"?
If you were a kid watching this show and on fusion you single out the sexual aspect of the action, I'd say you made a huge leap.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It's weird to me how I'd have trouble interpreting a lot of the later episodes the way a kid would see it.
I know that Steven Universe is for children and I'm in a periphery demographic of adult fans, but then the show has a metaphor for intimacy as one of its main building blocks and just had Steven stab someone using his mother's sword to save his own life.
If I pop in some DCAU stuff, I know it's for kids. There's adult jokes but it's all so veiled it can slip by a kid's head, and parental bonuses have been a staple for children's programming forever. With Steven Universe I have a hard time separating the main plot with the subtext of sex, war, PTSD, loss, disability, and homophobia.

I think my favorite SU cosplay I've seen was a Grease-style rendition of Ruby and Sapphire.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged Men

Not at the rate they're going. It took an entire season to deal with Jasper, and it actually looks like it'll take even longer to deal with her.
