It didn't appear to have any other doors besides that two trap doors.

Finding out about how the corruption happened reminds me a lot of the Dark One from the Wheel of Time;

"Congratulations, The Dragon/ Crystal Gems. You and your armies have successfully driven me and my forces away from this planet. But before I go, I'm just going to turn you all into mindless monsters and leave you to rip apart the world you fought so hard to save."

If the Cluster had awakened, Earth wouldn't just be uninhabitable, the planet would be pieces.

And all the nations would be even more separated than usual...so much for global unity.

Someone needs to ask Peridot about corruption soonish. It's dramatically unlikely that she would have all the answers they need, true, but it still makes sense for them to ask.

[up][up][up] If anything, she would probably have some objective details about how the machine works. Which would be helpful. But she probably wouldn't have any information on how to protect gems from corruption and definitely wouldn't have any information on healing corruption.

Well... she might be able give them more details on what corruption is, so they can have an idea. She was a kindergardner too after all. She knows how gems work too, not just tech.

I'd say the corruption wave would be from before her time and Peri wouldn't know a thing a bout it, as all data about the Crystal Gems seems to be classified.

We saw the Gems written language. Do you think Amethyst can read and write in Gem? Do you think it's possible we could get an episode dealing with her "illiteracy?"

It's not that important for Amethyst to learn how to read or write...she's too smart enough already.

I still want to know why the buttons in Peri's escape pod were in Cyrillic. Aliens Speaking English...and Russian. I'm going to have to rewatch this episode and try to read Centi's writing in Cyrillic and see if that makes sense.

Was surprised to not see Steven's dream diving ability considered. Though, he is still working on that one.

The wiki claims it was just a reference to the control panel on Mir, though I can't verify that claim.

[up][up]Siberia; the more populated areas of Russian don't seem affected.

Is it just me, or is it a massive coincidence that one of the ships that crashed just happened to have the rest of Centi's crew?

Did all of the ships that tried to escape crash?

[up][up]That's not what it looked like in Lapizuli's flash back, it might've just been this one. Though this may be the only one near a warp pad.

[up][up][up] It didn't crash. It never left. That one ship stayed behind to wait for their captain. We saw the other ships leave in Centipeetle's story.

I wonder, what if the corruption song came not from the Homeworld Gems but from someone on the Crystal Gems' side who went rogue? It's been a while though.

Lapis's retelling of the events makes it pretty obvious that's not the case. From what we saw the homeworld gems left, then there's some diamond music synth, and a big exploding light from space.

Note that gem writing is older than any Earthly script and has had a few practitioners hanging around for thousands of years. Did Rose teach the world to write?
