Onion's actually much younger than Steven, so his "peers" are really just Peedee and Connie.

he should've told her what was going on before they acted out the pretend lovers thing.
She probably wouldn't have been too excited for that either, and Ronaldo knew.

Jane kind of just showed up out of nowhere...at the most inconvenient time. And now she's not listening to his explanation at all.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.

[up][up]Which is why he probably should've just flat out refused, even if it was for the good of the restaurants.

Honestly, when you think about it, Ronaldo and Jane's relationship sounds problematic. I mean neither his brother nor his father even knew he had a girlfriend.

Do you think they would've believed him if he told them? I don't think so. I sure wouldn't.

Peedee didn't believe him...they were all skeptics.

The Dad might've believed him, I mean he believed that Ronaldo and Kiki were together when they were acting.

To answer my question, Howard is taking Johnston's position as Liu's storyboarding partner, the other teams are unchanged.

[up]That's because Kiki was there, but Jane wasn't.

True, that certainly made it more convincing I guess, Which is why if he told his family he had a girlfriend and they didn't believe him always could've introduced them to Jane.

I think I get the joke, but it's too depressing to spoil it...

Which I'd gladly do normally.

So I'm glad most people realized that Fryman and Kofi's respective reactions to the food they were served at "Steven's" were anime homages. I'm disappointed no one specifically mentioned that Fryman's "TH-The ketchup's inside the fries?!?" line was likely suppose to be a Jojo parody. sad

A little more of Colin Howard's SU sketches:

[up][up] Well, not that I mean it was any specific reference to a particular fight/moment. It just had that general "villain the Joestar of our part (or ally) is fighting realizes the outmaneuvered strategy our hero used to turn the battle in their favor," like how Yuuya Fungami beats Enigma Boy in that one fight in Diamond Is Unbreakable. One of those moments.

Honestly the whole restaurant scene in Stephen's home reminded me of Shokugeki No Soma. Without the foodgasms of course.

The whole "Masaka! Bakana! Impossible!" thing is pretty well-established, and not even just a villain thing (I watched Stardust Crusaders a few months ago and heard "bakana" from just about everyone).

Honestly the whole part of reinventing common foods like what they did with the fries just gave me huge Shokugeki no Soma vibes because a lot of characters do that, especially the MC.

SU didn't do this too much, but I've noticed lately that a lot of shows have characters go into incredibly deep descriptions of the food they're eating. Is that parodying cooking shows or something?
