Well, we'd seen her as recently as "Sadie's Song", but it's been over two years since Kofi said anything.
This show is very, very entertaining, don't get me wrong. It's just that I think that a show with so much backstory, sci-fi elements, lore, and detail to the alien race they created for it may be doing itself a disservice by not having much happen to them.
I guess I'm just not used to the idea of having such an interesting fantasy/sci-fi premise be the backdrop for a show with a character focus. Maybe I need to see this from a different point of view. On the other hand, I think I'd have a better time accepting it if there was no overarching plot whatsoever.
As a side question, would you say that Steven Universe has (or at least tries to have) the same tone that some of the Studio Ghibli movies (My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, etc.) have: a world with a backstory much more fantastical and interesting than our own, but explored in the form of Slice of Life as opposed to a straightforward plot?
"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawFoodWars: Shokugeki no Steven!
Now all they need is flowery descriptions of every bite and the tasters' clothes to fly off symbolically.
This episode was so fun. I never thought that they would bring the movie theater girl back but it was a nice surprise seeing her as Ronaldo's gf, or well ex girlfriend. I hope that they can get together again. Kiki and Jenny hugging was the cutest thing ever and omg at Ronaldo having those roller things. Would have love to see Ganga reacting to all this. And Garnet in a suit is my new favourite thing.
Twins who don't dislike each other, what a novel concept...maybe more shows should do that.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. You know, I'm sad for Ronaldo and all, but I can't help wondering if there's any significance to this...
Edit: Wait, no, it's because of all the crying, isn't it? God, l'm turning into him. NVM

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Honestly? I can't think of any media I've consumed where the twins hate each other. They always seem to be super close. And in real life, they always seem to be...average siblings, maybe less close than I'd expect one to be with a sibling not that I have any myself.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Kind of. They take their time to build up to things and throw little hints here and there as well as details as the story goes on.

Twins in shows only seem to hangout because they're siblings...but they also tend to annoy each other the most.
I said dislike...I don't use the "H" word, it's too strong.

If you've ever wanted to see the Gems running a fast food joint, well here ya go.
GUNDAMU GUNDAMUCartoon network site wouldn't let me watch while Restaurant War was airing for some reason, finally got to watch it.
That was a really funny episode. Cracked me up. Well aside from the whole fake love thing that was kind of cringey at parts for me. Also this episode felt like it was over really fast for some reason. Felt like the war didn't go for very long at all.
Looking pretty Sonic there Peri...
Also that last one with Pearl was just sad
