It's the same VA for our pizza boi.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It feels obvious, even without watching advance footage, "Restaurant Wars" will involve some conflict between at least the Pizza family and the Fryman family, although a small part of me would like to see whoever it is that runs the ice cream shop further west on the boardway appear as well.
Another thing that I'm curious about is whether or not this episode serves as a lead-in to the following (the one about Kiki) as has been the case somewhat in the recent crop of episodes, or if they are just two standalone stories that coincidentally involve a certain member of a family group. Given that story synopsis* , I'm starting to strongly suspect the title is a Red Herring, and won't involve any pizza-delivering shenanigans whatsoever.
Previously known as "71TheRoman". Wishes his password wouldn't forget who he is...The episodes are stand-alone from each other...also "Kiki's Pizza Delivery Service" I'm pretty sure comes before that other one.

"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawThere's a 99% chance that the plot of "Restaurant Wars" is that the adults who run the fry and pizza places get into a fight, leaving the kids to try and bring an end to the feud. The 1% chance is that a major corporation like Pepe's Burgers moves into town and causes a stir among the family owned shops in town. I'm really just hoping that we get another cameo by Pepe's Burgers. They have this great commercial you see...

I guess it does make sense that Lapis would still have no clue who Greg is at this point.
It's interesting how 'The New Lars' is both a parallel and a contrast to 'Mr Greg', seeing as how it follows the same basic principle: Steven attempts to force people to work out their relationships to be how he thinks they should be.
While it failed in 'The New Lars', I don't think Steven has realized what kind of boundaries there are to such a thing yet. If he doesn't get some character development in this area, there's going to be wasted story potential.
I mean, he's got to have some sort of flaw, right? Writers, give him flaws! Make him fail from time to time, and have to pay the consequences and learn from them!
Are those in the correct order?

It felt like this episode was written before "Island Adventure", or maybe even "Choking Victim", and Steven hadn't really gotten a full glimpse into Lars and Sadie's relationship yet.
If he can understand how to start to fix one relationship, why did he take such a broad-stroke approach to trying to fix Sadie and Lars, despite seeing them interact for a while now?
"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawPersonally, I think that he understands Greg and Pearl pretty well, due to having known them for pretty much his whole life. And maybe you could argue that being part-Rose helps too?
By comparison, I don't think he really understands Lars that well - his issues can be rather difficult to understand, and even more difficult to solve, at least for someone Steven's age. I don't know how long Steven's known Lars, but I doubt it's been for a very long time.
I think the same holds for Peridot and Lapis in "Barn Mates" - when you take into account the amount of time they spend together, he barely knows Lapis at all, and I think that makes it so that he doesn't really understand her all that well, and doesn't really know how to help with her issues.

Oh God! Natural light! That's true. Also, Greg and Pearl aren't nearly as irritable as Lars and Lapis are.
