x5 From a viewer standpoint, Kevin is a more realistic villain than any of the gem villains. By "realistic" I mean you're much more likely to have encountered someone like Kevin in real life. So from a Doylist point of view, that might be why they made Steven's reaction more intense and realistic. So people could take a direct aesop from it, as opposed to others (the Cluster, for example) which were meant to be taken as metaphors, if there was even a moral there at all. True to life situations need true to life reactions

That's totally real, people do it all the time.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIs it just me, or has every antagonist (major and minor) been completely two-dimensional? Kevin's a douchebag just 'cause, Jasper valued strength/power over everything else, Yellow Diamond's motivation for destroying Earth is "because it's personal", and Peridot before her Heel–Face Turn was just a results-driven technician. Even Lars doesn't really have a justification for why he's a jerk.
It's probably just a case of lack of screen time (except for Kevin), but it's just a trend that I remembered with this episode.
I wish the show had had a villainous character that had more screen time so that they can be more fully developed before they're defeated or turned to the good side.
Also, I assumed Sugar's motivation for the show's representation was close to home, but not that close. Good for her!

They're always going to start out that way...also Larson isn't an antagonist.
It will take some time and moore flashbacks to flesh-out these flat images.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's like I said, Ronaldo is best experienced in short bursts rather than entire episodes.
Nice episode. The brief flashback of Greg having a Spaghetti Kiss with the car and promptly being arrested for it was my favorite part.
This wouldn't qualify as a short burst compared to most of his appearances...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I didn't bring it up before now because, in my book, it would have been gossip because it was speculating about her personal life instead of responding to her own comments about it.
Real honesty would have been saying "I'm a narcissistic chode who seeks the hatred of others because I don't think I could attract their attention in a positive way." (Obviously that wouldn't all be in the actual show.)
Yeah mang, nobody ever admits narcissism. It's always someone else who has to say it.
Also what does that link with Sadie in it actually vibe to you.
