Rose could have just thought men where so much more exotic what with the whole One-Gender Race thing Gems have going on. Or maybe Pearl just really minded the women. [lol]

When we say "pearlrose" deniers, are we talking about people who are denying that Pearl was in lesbians with Rose, or people who don't think the relationship was one-sided? Because while Pearl's feelings for Rose are clear, nothing seemed to suggest that Rose had a romantic interest in Pearl.

Now that it's been brought up, I'm wondering what kind of episode this show might do that would be a real tearjerker.

Maybe an episode where Steven gets stuck in the Holodeck Rose's Room, sees time moving super fast, and sees everyone he knows aging around him, could get a tear out of me.

How's that any sadder than most of what we've seen so far...we need deluxe sadness.

What counts as a "real" tearjerker is pretty subjective anyway, since everyone will have a different reaction. And some would say it just has to make you sad, not necessarily make you cry,

If it doesn't make you cry streams then it's not jerking the tears from your baby faces...thas too bad.

So. Do we have the credits for this episode?

Because I legitimately want to know if Susan Egan contributed to "both of you"

I think a lot of it depends on what a specific viewer can relate to. I thought this episode was emotional, but I didn't cry because I couldn't relate enough to it personally for it to trigger a strong reaction. I cried during On The Run and Too Many Birthdays, and that's it so far.

...That's not what I meant.

I mean. There's parts of the song where Steven is singing that sound to me like an adult woman? And I'm not sure Zach could have hit all those high notes.

It feels like there's some sound mixing with some words being Steven and some of it being Rose, but. Like, I want some actual confirmation on it.

I'd be sadder if Ronaldo died than if Garnet died. After all, Ronaldo isn't a 10,000+ year-old warrior who probably expected to die in battle. Do you understand why I would see things this way?

I would, but the thing is most people don't really care about Ronaldo or outright dislike him so him dying might not mean much unless they pulled off an Alas, Poor Scrappy.

The thing that really got to me about Pearl's song was the way she was animated during that scene - you can really see the pain on her face as she's singing.

Also, is it just me, or is the melody to the chorus a bit familiar? I could've sworn there was an instrumental piece much earlier on in the show that followed a similar chord progression.

I actually have a theory about a future episode that's pretty sad:

If Monster Reunion is really about Steven healing Centipeedle, it'll be like in Flowers for Algernon: the healing is only temporary and she slowly becomes corrupt again.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
