So what the humans were all men? Weird.
I wouldn't take that line so literally.

you know now some subset of the fandom is going to start shipping Greg and Pearl
Friendshipping is always fine. Shit, Ruise beat me to it!

I've always seen Pearl as a lesbian, if you had to use human terms. Her weird dreams involving Greg and her dancing with him here felt more like her insecurities over Rose choosing Greg over her and she and Greg admitting they both loved Rose and love Steven equally, respectively.

Always thought shipping meant Friendship...since that word has ship in it. But then the term love boat possibly exist and it all makes a lot more sense.

It's derived from "relationship."

She really seems like she wouldn't be physically attracted to any humans, not even females.

So how much money do you think got dropped in this episode? 3 or 4 Bands (presumably of hundreds) for the hotel room/damaged table/tipping the staff, makes 30- 40K

A tailored suit maybe runs someone anywhere from 400 to 1000, so let's say it was 3,000.

A max of 43,000 out of 10,000,000 is hardly a dent at all.

[up][up]That's also a likely possibility.

Why wouldn't they? I always thought that "Chille Tid" confirmed that Pearl is warm for Greg's form and is in denial about it.

She is not warm for Greg's form! evil grin But I'm like 80% sure that Greg would have been happy to date both Rose and Pearl and 100% sure he had no problem with Rose dating both of them.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.

Wonderful episode. Rebecca has excellent taste. Pearl episodes are always the best.tongue

I loved "No, this is why I brought you here". That was like actual "Serious Steven".

Darn it, you know now some subset of the fandom is going to start shipping Greg and Pearl if they weren't already.tongue

Of course they will. People earnestly ship the two Gems' whose fusion represents an unhealthy relationship according to Word of God.

...Remember when people shipped Pearl/Connie after "Sworn to the Sword"? Skin crawls

I've never had a favorite character before this episode, but with all of the depth Pearl's been given, this episode made her my favorite by far.

I really thought a Musical Episode would be inconsequential, but I was never so happy to be wrong.

Steven's real reason made sense, but it's weird why no one asked why they shouldn't bring Amethyst or Garnet.

So how much money do you think got dropped in this episode?
Numbers have no meaning in this show. Even though the check was ten mil., Greg essentially has an Arbitrarily Large Bank Account. The cost of tonight's venture was too little to significantly affect it, but enough to make Greg realize he shouldn't do this regularly.

Well, really, being a musical episode was almost incidental. There were really only four songs (five if you count Marty's jingle version of "Comet").

Dude, it's Steven Universe. All character development is done through singing or crying.

I know...he was so much more mature about it here than he was in flippin' "Barn Mates." I adored the way Steven delivered that line...my beautiful son...

also I happen to like jaspis a lot and idgaf

I don't know where you got that from, but it looked me like her version of a bad dream. I mean it had Greg in rose's dress, regurgitating a slice of pizza. She was extremely grossed out.

Oh, I'm not serious. I just like to make fun of Pearl. She makes it so easy.

So, "Maximum Capacity" is to Amethyst as "Mr. Greg" is to Pearl, where Greg meeting Rose ruined the respective relationships (Amethyst and Greg's and Pearl and Rose's).

I wonder what the episode for Garnet will be, or if she'll have one at all.

Damn what kind of hotel were they staying at? I know hotels cost a pretty penny & Greg asked for a luxurious treatment but to receive a bill that puts a worrying dent in 10-mil is fucking insane.

This being Steven Universe, I'm certain those tailor made suits they bought will show up again in a later episode. The only question is, how long until then?

My guess is that it was almost 1 million.

It's New York City, it's easy to spend that much so quick.
