I figured Marty wasn't being totally sincere, but I was still kind of hoping this episode would at least take him from being the complete scumbag he was in his first appearance and turn him into a more run-of-the-mill douche. Ah well. Rose knows if we'll ever see him again.
Am I the only one who found Marty's voice kind of jarring? He sounds way younger than he looks.
ANALYSIS:
It's a bit disappointing to see Marty get away scot free, but he really didn't. He's going to be running himself into the ground soon, it seems. He was completely alone on his tour bus, so whatever bridges he had, he's apparently burned them all. And he's gone from being however successful in the music business to attempting to sell horrible soda.
I always thought that the reason Yellowtail didn't want Sour Cream to be a DJ is because he didn't want to see him in the same occupation his father was. But seeing Sour Cream stand up to Marty might have made Yellowtail see that, even if he did go into the music business, Sour Cream would never end up like Marty, so he gave Sour Cream his DJ equipment back.
Oh, and ten million dollars. That's pretty cool. That must have been a big lawsuit. I wonder why Greg was never involved in that, despite being the recipient of the money awarded
Some of the episodes focusing on the townsfolk aren't bad, but it's hard to think of much to say about them. I'm not complaining that each episode isn't a masterpiece that will stick out in your mind for years to come, just making an observation.
I always thought people were exaggerating about how horrible Marty is when we saw like 90 seconds of him and in the same episode, Greg literally followed an attractive stranger to her home and ditched his career to chase fluffy pink tail. But yeah...Marty doesn't have much to him besides dickishness it seems.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I don't know why, but Amethyst killing a seagull with a bag of chips made me laugh my ass off.
