The first minute of an episode isn't always that interesting...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Not all the time, but an episode with a slow start wouldn't do much nuts for nobody.

"The Answer"? Which was one of 'em...even though Garnet's eyes.
Any of early season 1 stuff...ex: Together Breakfast, Steven's Lion..something else.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. And even when the literal first scene doesn't make the best preview—generally because it's the set up for something much later in the episode—the second or third will be an obvious introduction to the central concept or character. For instance, with "Frybo", you'd skip past the opening scene with Pearl explaining the shards, and instead use Steven running into Peedee as the preview.
Different topic: Looking through screenshots reminded me of that time Lion ate
◊ a Crystal Lizard
◊. Much like the Crystal Shrimp, that's strange for a number of reasons: It has a corpse, so it's not a gem monster or the creation of one. Is it an actual animal from Homeworld or some other planet that happens to have gem-based life forms? Did it drop any Titanite?
EDIT: Also, "Hit the Diamond" music.
Nice how an episode where a bunch of characters are working together has music of a bunch of their instruments together.

In hindsight, Lars' virtual absence from season two is really freaking weird—not just because of how long it's been, but how suddenly it happened and severe the difference. "Horror Club" was more than halfway through season 1b, while "Say Uncle" was written to be the season's sixth-to-last episode. In the second season, Lars never speaks at all, and literally the only other named residents of Beach City that didn't were Yellowtail and Kofi.
If they just didn't want to give Lars another major role (as season two had fewer episodes about Beach Citizens), he probably still would have made some minor appearances. If they wanted to stop writing about Lars entirely, you'd think he'd be written out/become a background-only character, rather than getting that one scene in "Sadie's Song", which seems to exist just to remind us that he does.
I suspect the real reason was that they couldn't get his voice actor. Even that would require some advance notice—what's the time between initial outlines and first recordings? Hell, maybe Moy still isn't available, Lars will have a new voice actor next we see him, and the title of "The New Lars" is a bit of Leaning on the Fourth Wall.
The amount of casual Beach City episodes in season 2: 6 episodes?
It makes some sense, don't expecting this Lars character to show up...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Still looking forward to these episodes, especially if we can get one or two Gems to show up in one.
The cast interactions with how big it all is practically write themselves.
Peridot/Ronaldo, Sadie/Lapis, Stevonnie/anyone, Peridot blowing up the Big Donut while trying to improve it with Gem tech, Lapis helping out the local fishermen, etc.
It's funny, despite the fact the Crystal Gems are more or less magical superheroes, they don't have much interaction with the public, which neatly sidesteps any identity, personal responsibility, or self-image problems that usually come with it.
Gems are Gems, and they just don't seem to care about how humans think of them.
Not that the humans care much either, they've pretty much just been Conditioned to Accept Horror. And they're not wrong.
Ronaldo: How can you possibly go on, knowing that we are under siege by forces meant to destroy the Crystal Gems?
Mr. Fryman: How close are you to being done with this project?
Ronaldo: Just answer the question, Dad!
Mr. Fryman: Ugh... I-I guess its pretty bad, but what's a regular old guy like me supposed to do about it? I've got work to do... and so do you, put down that camera.
It's official and it was posted here, so it's mostly alright...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Something I notice that no one has brought up, in either thread, is that Connie and Stevonnie are wearing the same jacket Mr. Maheswaran wears. Connie is also standing in front what looks like the same car he drove in "Winter Forecast", which has a "dad on board" sticker.
So Doug is probably gonna be back and find out about Stevonnie. Hopefully he'll take it better than some have imagined
.
Given how well it fits Connie, I'm thinking it's not the same jacket, just the same design in her size.
Connie said he was a security guard who works for "a bunch of different beaches". Makes me think he took Connie and Steven to hang out at a beach he had a job at, and it's a jacket she wears when he takes her to work. Maybe that leads to a "Who are you, and why are you wearing my daughter's jacket?" scene.
Now I'm imaging Stevonnie wandering to Doug's work station, then he hassles them about loitering while griping about "annoying teenagers."

No, that's just from Jones-Quartey. Same for "Priyanka". If they agreed on those names, I imagine they're going to use them in-show eventually.
I wrote "Doug" because I thought it would be clear from context and typing "Mr. Maheswaran" over and over is kind of awkward.

" It's interesting to see a couple that isn't right for each other, buts keeps ending up back together, and it isn't taken so seriously. Like the opposite of the stereotypical Will They or Won't They? couple."
I think Lars and saddie could be a good couple in the future both they have to improve as person, which is still a far thing to go.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Crispin Freeman has been doing a lot of American cartoon voice acting since about 2009.

I wish these previews would just be the first 40-100 seconds of the episode, not a mid-episode clip whose leadup you can barely begin to guess.
