That's sad, but I don't think it'd work like that.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Checking the schedule again, it seems we're not getting two episodes most nights. First day is "Steven Floats/Drop Beat Dad", second is "Steven Floats/Mr. Greg". The double starter may be for a number of reasons: getting an even number of days from an odd number of episodes, trying to start strong, or wanting to start with a world premier because the exec know how many people saw "Steven Floats" from the French broadcast.
Well the thing is, even a very stable fusion like Garnet defuses occasionally. Taking enough damage will split a fusion apart, and so will severe disagreements between the two components.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.@Adric: Does this prove the airing order posted in the spoiler thread was at least slightly inaccurate?
Once again, someone jumped the gun with making recap pages, as they made pages with "Mr. Greg" an episode later, justifying it with a Toonzone post (which has since been amended for the update). Once again, this requires a fresh new round of cuts. CHOP CHOP CHOP!

I wonder if the show would do a flash forward episode just to have a glimpse into what Steven's life would be like in the future.
Like Steven keeps skipping forward in time and sees every one of his human friends aging. It would be like an inverse of Too Many Birthdays. And maybe Connie in one of the skips just asks Steven about wanting to stay fused to "save" her.

Still, I think it would be a cool concept.
Maybe Steven gets another glimpse of future vision, like in Winter Forecast, but doesn't snap out of one timeline for years and years. Steven doesn't realize he's seeing into the future, until time keeps on skipping whenever he makes an important choice. And it's only when something traumatic happens or he learns something that he snaps back to the present.

Check out my art if you notice. Also, I just realized Star Trek: TNG did an episode where Picard passes out and wakes up in the life of a scientist, gets married, watches his kids grow up, and dies, only to wake up back on the Enterprise with only forty minutes having passed.
I don't know if my idea would be an interesting variation on that kind of story or stealing their idea.

Guys lets be real. The Show has been on hiatus so often that simply having 10 Minute episode per week isn't going to feel satisfying anymore.
Sorry if I sound self-entitled, but I feel we earned this. It's better that than having another month supply of episodes and then going on another bloody hiatus.

It's not two weeks of full-stop Steven Universe like originally thought...so that's actually a lot better now.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. There's just a bit of noise before DDMH starts singing, so with some noise canceling with audacity, it might be possible to get a relatively clean rip of vocals for Pearl cover purposes.
I like the idea of the flash forward thing.
Actually, that tempts me into a fanfic.
Steven asks Garnet for a deliberate look into her Future Vision, followed by the obligatory warning that whatever he sees cannot be unseen and she can't be there to pull him back until he's done.
He first goes into happy situations, beating Jasper, making friends with Homeworld, peacefully talking with the Diamonds.
Then forgets to think about Beach City, goes back, and with the personal connection to his planet, he starts to worry about what could happen, influencing him to see some of the worst if still technically possible outcomes. The Big Donut gets demolished, a laser evaporates a large part of the coastline and ocean, a nearby forest is set on fire, Gems get produced only to be stopped part through with all of the surrounding tri state reduced to lifeless rock, the rest of Beach City, local authorities, and Connie join in to help, and engage in a second war for Earth that pushes and pulls back with both sides taking losses. And in her twenties, Connie is critically injured.
They fuse to save her life, the Cluster is unbubbled to help, and at the cost of its lives, Homeworld's fleet is severely damaged to the point that they have to pull out or be ruined completely.
With much of North America scarred by the war, YD pulls out with remnants of her forces to limp back to Homeworld to fight another day, while the Crystal Gems and Stevonnie wander the Earth, fixing the damages.
Decades later, being human, Connie can't cope with immortality and they reluctantly unfuse with her still injured at the time of fusion. He heals her long enough to have one last week together as they spend time on the beach, seeing a new generation of survivors rebuilding and now aware of the Gems with hope for the future as Steven picks up Connie's sword, willing to physically fight for the sake of those that love each other.
Gah, I have so much cringe right now.
By this point, I think I'd be more comfortable with a traditional one episode a week than marathons. But it's possible that I only feel that way because my interest in Steven Universe has kind of waned.
The hiatuses were probably part of it, but I think I got kind of burned out on all the stuff revolving around the farm. Maybe the next batch of episodes will introduce some new plot threads or character arcs to help revitilize my interest.
Yeah, I think the one downside to the Netflix model is that the fans don't get to have as much fun discussing what just happened and speculating on what's going to happen next. Probably a bit harder to build a solid fandom that way. Of course, how much importance you place on all that is up to you.
On a similar note, I like that Stevenbomb 3 had a character conflict that wasn't resolved at the end of the episode, but I've always thought that it would've been a little more effective had the episodes not aired one day after another. I'm not saying they ruined it, just that it would've stood out a little more.

We don't know if she was ever close enough to any human before Greg to try doing that. And she probably wouldn't want to do it to someone randomly because of Alien Non-Interference Clause.
But anyway, if she could do that, it would probably be like the elixir of life in Harry Potter, and make them dependent on her tears to stay alive. Probably not something she wants to do. Because if she does that to one person and they tell someone else, what's going to stop other humans from demanding the same thing?
