Any suggestion in the show that Rose might not be gone, such as the fountain vision and the Tiny Floating Whale are vague at best and could just as easily be a red herring.
I'm sure no matter what's up with Rose, the show will find a way to bring in more answers than we'd come up with while opening a lot of doors.
How long would Steven's lifespan be, you think? I would think his human DNA would have a normal human lifespan, unless his gem "DNA" could support it somehow. If it couldn't, that would either lead to Body Horror or him only living as old to be a human.
I have been thinking a lot about the "Steven dies and Rose regenerates from his gem" theory. If Steven's human half dies, Steven effectively wouldn't exist anymore, and only the Rose side would be left. And Word of God is that Steven can't regenerate, so if was just a gem left, couldn't it realistically be Rose regenerating from that?
...Too morbid?

Every episode we've had on this topic indicates that Steven isn't aging like a normal human. He seems to stay at the same age as long as he feels like that age.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I personally think that he's going to age alongside Connie.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenBasically, as long as Steven continues to think he's only 12 years old or so, then he's going to stay 12 years old, facial hair be darned. Which means that, for all intents and purposes, he's effectively immortal as long as he never thinks of himself as an old man or the like. Though I guess if he ever wants to have a life with Connie or have kids, (maybe adopted, given the whole thing with Rose,) he'll probably have to grow up at some point. Though I guess he can just stay at 22 or something. It'll really depend on a bunch of different things, but whether or not Steven ever actually kicks the bucket is entirely up to him.

Or he's one of those people who never grown up past a certain point physically...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. We did see what he would look like if he did physically mature into an adult.
So I don't think its impossible for him to safely grow up
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's definitely not impossible for Steven to mature into a full grown adult. I think he'll grow up depending on how old he feels. Didn't "So Many Birthdays" basically show that? And he did mature a little physically by the end of "Steven's Birthday" because he got a facial hair. Maybe his gem lengthens the telomeres of his DNA or something by adding more bases out of hard light based on how old he feels. I dunno, just spitballing.
Is anyone else annoyed with how little the show has done with Jasper?
I mean at first she's introduced as a threat from Homeworld, more serious and intimating than Peridot (who was initially cold and apathetic, but also a bit comical and a Punck clock villain). And yet she then gets overpowered and trapped by Lapis, being taken out of the picture, while Peridot was out and about causing trouble for the Gems. And when the show resolves the Malachite issue, she falls into the hole!
There's alot that can be done with this character regardless of whether or not she changes her way like Peridot does, but it feels like the writers may not be sure what to do with her.
They know what to do with her, hehehe.
Also Jaspee can't be a re-occuring villain like P-dot, she'd just try to keep fighting them and wouldn't be a threat because it's 3 v 1. She'd be even less of a threat if they fused preemptively.

One of the comics
coming out soon is being cowritten and drawn by Lauren Zuke, one of the show's storyboard artists.
Now the CN schedule has finally gone past July 3rd, we can see there's a series of two-hour episode blocks leading up to the premier on the 18th.
